"Not happy with them! The first year after switching insurance companies they did a great job for me. The second year after I heard nothing from them I called when my homeowners insurance just about doubled. I questionned why they had not contacted me about such a huge increase and Jonathan applogized for the failure to communicate in advance - he advised that it would not happen again, shopped around for insurance for me and came up with a little better price on the insurance. Third year coming, again not a word from them and my homeowners insurance has just about doubled again. As well my car insurance has gone up again .. interestingly no vehicle tickets, no claims, drive about 3k miles per year since I work out of my home, neighbors who are both over 70 and both drivers on their policy pay less than I do in vehicle insurance. So I called Rockland and was advised # 1 my vehicle insurance was the best they could do for me # 2 since Rockland is SUCH A SMALL Insurance Company that they don't have time to call when home insurance almost doubles. Owning a business myself if I were to tell a client that I didn't have time to review their information to try to save them some tax dollars I would NOT be in business long ... it's all about CUSTOMER SERVICE and since Rockland is too busy selling to new customers they just don't have time to keep up with their existing customers ... renewing car insurance this year but will probably be going elsewhere ... customer service is key with me!"

"I was referred to Rockland by my realtor at Coldwell Banker, Patricia Muska. Right after Harvey my wife died unexpectedly. Our house developed mold and my children and I became very sick. Rockland's adjustor did not do a comprehensive inspection of the damage. They walked into the living room and master bedroom, claiming the damage was less than $700. They did not order a mold inspection. I had to do that myself. They gave me a dead claim number to call. I was never able to get help with the claim. The office in Rockland had bear rugs and was very swanky. Is that where our premiums were applied? FEMA also denied us assistance. The insurance company refused to acknowledge subsurface water permeation beneath the house. We had to tear all of the carpet out. I went to my mortgage company and explained the situation. They sold our loan to a predatory servicer. The servicer took our money out of escrow and refused to pay our premiums to Rockland. My policy lapsed due to Shellpoint refusing to pay the premiums out of escrow. We remained sick for two years chronically due to mold. My children were 5 and 7 with special mental health needs. My credit was ruined when the mortgage company sold our loan to a servicer who manufactured a default after learning of the water damage and problems that led to it. All of my accounts closed. Two years and three months after the hurricane, we moved out of our health. The home was burglarized in the following eight weeks. It was left without running water. I needed Rockland's help when we were at our lowest point and our provider had died. They didn't help us. We ended up losing our home because we could not get help fixing it. It sat vacant with grass twelve feet high for nearly three years. We became permanently housing insecure. We had to leave after the burglary due to violent crime affecting the property. We lost our down-payment, equity, and all the money invested in the property when it foreclosed and went to auction. We lost almost everything we had. That is my family's experience with Rockland. Six years later we have no home. I am undergoing credit repair. We have experienced near total asset loss. Throughout it all, Rockland was not there. That is what you can expect from Rockland."

"Called regarding switching my homeowners insurance. After giving them my information they told me their agent Jonathan would reach out to me with a quote. Instead I was bombarded with calls and e-mails from a bunch of their partners who proceeded to ask me to same information. Maybe I’m missing something, but isn’t the point of using an insurance brokerage that they do that for you?"

"Johnathan Seigel has been my go-to for many years and has covered every home I’ve owned. "If you go with this company make sure you know when it's your renewal time and be proactive. On the 1st renewal I had to do some repair work for insurance renewal and Rockland did not inform me until a few days before my policy was set to expire. These folks are bad when it comes to communicating answering emails and advising when your policy needs attention. On one occasion they were sending my policy and personal information to an email that wasn't mine. I hear they are working from home, perhaps they are enjoying a little too much of The Price is Right."
