7.99 Hair Cut

"First off the haircuts are $14. Second I went to get a haircut and I kept telling the lady I wanted it shorter and she wouldn’t listen. I told her once again I wanted it shorter and she was like no that’s fine. I wasn’t asking for her opinion I just wanted it shorter. Never going back again."

"Just as a FYI, I have a fairly simple hair cut. I always get a military high & tight with a 3 on the top and 0/bald on the sides. I would give five stars for the value vs quality of the haircut, especially compared to other shops that charge close to $20 for the same haircut. I do have a bit of an odd shaped head that would give inexperience or novice barbers and hair stylist a hard time. So I give them some credit for doing a great job for their first time. They lost a star from me because each time I've had a haircut there, any used combs or guards were brushed off and thrown back into the drawer. They have the traditional jar with the blue disinfectant liquid with combs sitting in there, but I don't think anyone really uses those and it just sits there for looks. I've seen a lot of shops do they exact same thing they do. This should be done for sanitary and health safety reasons. If someone has a fungal infection on their scalp (aka scalp ringworm), it can be passed on to someone else by reusing combs, clippers, and guards not properly disinfected. If I was running a barber shop (I've seen some shops do this), I would have the clipper guards, combs, and the clipper itself sprayed with disinfectant before putting them back into the drawer. I've already been here a few times and every lady there that has cut my hair was nice and did a good job. They conversed among themselves more than they did with me, but that doesn't really bother me because I don't talk much and I don't think their English may be proficient enough for normal conversations. They cut my hair pretty fast, but it didn't seem like it was rushed. The did take the time to look and check to make sure they were doing a good job. I think this place is a great deal for people who have simple and short haircuts. I don't know what to say for the people with longer hair. I'll definitely keep coming this place. The only way any barber shop will get five stars from me is if they disinfected their equipment after every customer. If hygiene wasn't a factor, I would give this place five stars As an update, the price now is $7.99 for a basic hair cut. As of this update, I'm not surprised with the increase taking inflation and recession into consideration. I haven't been to any other barber shops to compare the pricing to. Nothing really changed from my original posting since my opinion is still the same"
