"I had a prescription for custom orthotics that would have cost around $3,000. However, since I could think of about 1 million things I would rather spend $3,000 on, my PT told me about a machine that would test the way I stood and walked on my feet and use that information to tell me what (non-custom) shoe insert would work best for me. He gave me the name of two stores in Pearland that had this machine, but I couldn't remember the names, so I did a Google search and found Wild Pear Running. I went there to see if by chance they had this machine, and they did! Trevor welcomed me into the store and was so kind to help me, which I was so thankful for because if I had tried to figure out that machine out on my own, I would probably still be there. :-) He also picked out some shoes for me to try on that he thought would work well with the inserts. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. As it turns out, this was not one of the places that my PT had suggested, but I was thankful that it was the first place that I stopped at to find this machine. They were wonderful, they had exactly what I was looking for, and I left there with a pair of shoes and the perfect inserts for my feet in no time flat."
