"Bought TRD Pro rims then waited 5 years to get them installed on my Tacoma because I overthought it and wanted to find a shop that would not scratch the rims. Ended up selling the Tacoma and wanted to put the rims on my wife's 4Runner. Explained everything to the sales representative and asked them to be extra careful. They scratched the rims anyways. They acknowledged the damage and offered to repair or replace but I could not fathom trusting them to continue trying to fix the problem. I decided to cut my losses and declined the repair/replacement by taking a discount. Got home and started to clean up the original rims to sell and saw that every single one had been scratched or gouged. This vehicle has 38,000 miles and I hate to say it but no one has removed these rims for anything. I was going to grind these tires into the ground and did not care how they wore. (In case anyone is wondering, the original Dunlops wore evenly.) These rims have never been off the vehicle and it gets washed by hand every available weekend. They were not new but not like this before today; I know almost every inch of this vehicle. I know I am going to sell the old rims but this is disheartening to say the least and a diminshed value from the condition they were in before Discount Tire got to them. Damaged new rims and damaged old rims. Offering to fix things retroactively instead of being careful proactively is not the way to do things: more important than the value of the physical objects is the value of respect and trust."
