"The food was great. We had a beef empanada, queso con raja empanada, queso fundido, and red chilaquiles. We ordered the flan and the tres leches with ronpope to go but tasted a little of it and it was good too. All was made fresh and the tortillas were good too. Note: the menu changes weekly so what you get one week might not be available the next but I would take my chances."

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mexican Mom Cocina Tradicional, a traditional Mexican restaurant that left my taste buds dancing with delight. Starting with the appetizer, the Pico de Colibrí was a standout, perfect balance of lime, pico, corn and creamy cilantro sauce. I also had the creamy Poblano Rajas Empanada, baked to perfection accompanied by chimichurri and red salsa. For the main courses , I opted for the enchiladas verdes, and they were a revelation. The tender tortillas enveloped a savory mix of shredded chicken, bathed in a luscious tomatillo sauce, and topped with melted cheese, a sunny side up egg, a dollop of crema and queso. Each bite was a harmonious blend of spice and creaminess. The Mexican Mom Chicken platillo was another highlight. The chicken, marinated to perfection, was nestled in a warm and savory sauce and adorned with rice and chips. The simplicity of the dish allowed the quality of the ingredients to shine. To complement the meal, I enjoyed a refreshing Paloma, a traditional alcoholic beverage. The beverage menu also boasted an impressive selection of mezcal and aguas frescas providing the perfect pairing for the bold flavors of the cuisine. The dessert, Tres Leches de Chocolate, was the perfect sweet note to end the meal. I definitely just enjoyed some of the cake just now. The moist interior, topped with a whipped topping, just wow! The ambiance of Mexican Mom transported me to my own mother’s Kitchen. The attentive and friendly staff further enhanced the overall dining experience. In conclusion, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic taste of Mexico. "We were so glad that we could dine here. This small, cute restaurant just fulfill all your expectations. We had a farewell get together for our friends here. Initially we were about 25 guests when we started discussions with Gina, the owner cum chef. She was very forthcoming with all her suggestions. But on the D day we ended up only 15 guests, which Gina didn't seem to mind...mind you, the whole food was customized according to our budget. They are just a sweet couple with awesome service and amazing food. Would recommend to everyone."

"Mexican Mom is a treasure. The food, people, and atmosphere are fabulous. We’ve enjoyed many meals at this lovely restaurant, but celebrated three special birthdays there last night and they went out of their way to make it a wonderful experience. They also brought us the biggest slice of chocolate tres leches I’ve ever seen. (It was amazing.) They are a one-of-a-kind and delicious addition to The Woodlands food offerings!"
