"Honestly the worst Mexican food I’ve had in my life. I went to the location in the shell station parking lot on huffmister. I ordered a trompo quesadilla. There is hardly any cheese, the only flavor of the meat is salt, and there is soooo much grease I don’t even understand how it’s possible to have this much grease. I feel like they have people working there with little to no cooking experience. I won’t be returning"

"The sign says $1.00 and I'm sure they are great very small tacos but when you go up to the window it's different prices its actually 2.00 for beef . I told her it it was way too small . If they would just put up the right prices i might have paid. Very misleading."

"As a warning to others I would take precaution before ordering from this taqueria. As loyal customers my boyfriend and I frequently visited for tacos and elotes. Tonight was not pleasant at all and we were very astound after witnessing the workers handling our food and others without washing their hands “at all” . We arrived at 9 and noticed the workers sitting outside. One was smoking cigarettes near a propane tank scratching private body parts and his hair. As my boyfriend and another customer walked up to order the worker smoking put his cigarette out and walked into the taco stand . The other worker followed. After placing the order my boyfriend walked back to our vehicle to wait, but he was also observing closely to see if they were going to sanitize ,or wash their hands prior to handing the food. They did not! We witnessed both workers handling food and utensils without washing their hands. One of the workers also wiped his hands on his shirt and picked up a dirty rag wiping the countertop off and touched food afterwards. This is a major health concern myself and others. I previously read a review where a customer stated she and her spouse became very ill after consuming food from this taqueria. Please be very careful. I do not recommend or advise anyone to eat from there."

"I've visited this location twice, and I can't say I was impressed with either visit. The fare is basic, and in terms of street "taqueria" pretty lacking in flavor and freshness. What garnered the three stars is false advertising. I'm Mexican, I like Mexican food ok, but also, if there is something that isn't typical fare or popular I love to try it. They market "cecina" on their truck, and cecina is a peculiar cut of meat that is actually sun/air dried and cut into thin sheets before they are sauteed in lard, and is a delicious cut of meat that not many places would attempt. So I ask the guy in the truck on my second trip "so you sell cecina? I'd like to try" he looks at me a bit bewildered and says yes of course! Gets to making my order, and after 15 min (and being the only person waiting) I receive it and ravenously unwrapped it in my car, only to get greeted by the saddest looking beef tacos I've ever seen. I go back and tell the guy, "hey, I ordered cecina, you gave me fajitas" he responds "oh, they're the same thing". It's ok if you don't know the difference, just don't advertise it if you can't do it."

"So their tacos are $1.50 and they had chicken, pastor, beef fajita, and chorizo when I went. They also do baked potatoes, nachos, quesadillas, and elotes. They also have nopales, trompo and cecina. Since it was my first visit, I got two al pastor tacos and a chicken quesadilla. They didn't seem comfortable in English (and I saw that impact the customer who ordered behind me who had a repetitious conversation), so I went with my rusty Spanish. It took about 20 minutes, which is awkward in a gas station parking lot. There were three people who had ordered in front of me, but you can see that the process is very linear. If I go again, I'll order the food and *then* go fill up the tank. The haul for $12 is attached. They didn't put any cilantro and onions in, nor any pico/crema/guac with the quesadilla, but did include salsas (jalapeño and a chile one - both got some heat) and limes for the tacos. I wasn't particularly impressed by either item: the chicken quesadilla was dry, with crumbly bits of chicken (see second pic), and the al pastor was also dry and surprisingly bland in flavor. I dunno, it was great to get street fare but I think there might be some better trucks a little further down Kuykendahl I’ll have to try."
