"In September, I went to the Midas on San Pedro for an alignment. Sergio informed me that I needed camber bolts to better align my vehicle to specifications. They didnt have any camber bolts in stock so I went and bought them from Advance Auto Parts for $20 and brought them back to Midas for installation and paid $60. I waited about an hour for it to be completed and assumed everything was good. On December 3, I went to Brake Check for some needed car repairs and upon their inspection of my vehicle, they informed me there were no camber bolts on my struts. I went to Midas the next morning and spoke with the Manager, Mario. He informed me that I needed documentation from Brake Check stating there were no camber bolts installed, which I did acquire. Mario said he could have put my car on a lift to see for himself but it wasn't worth his time to do so for the $60 I paid. He also said their return window was only about 30 days and its been close to 4 months. Obviously most people dont get under their car to see if the job you said needed done and were paid to do was actually completed. I cant help but question if my camber specs were off for 4 months, did that affect my brand new tire tread or any of my other fairly new suspension parts. After a bit of back and forth with Mario, he agreed to pay for my camber bolt installation to be done by Brake Check for $103. I submitted the paid invoice as instructed and was told it would be 2-3 weeks for them to release a check to me. On December 26, I reached out to Mario for an update and received no response. On December 29, I reached out again and he told me he would follow up. On January 5 and 8, I reached out again, no response. I also reached out to Midas Corporate on January 10, no response. I can see when my messages have been read and obviously ignored and I have been very patient and polite in my communication attempts. I also have all of my receipts and texts regarding this situation. I spent over $1500 at Midas in September/October on an alignment, new tires and a wheel bearing. Its ridiculous that Im having to fight for this refund over work that was paid for and never done. Stay far away from this company!"
"Amazing service! The staff was extremely helpful figuring out what problems my car has! They tried to accommodate to my low stipend (I'm a student) and offered great deals. Will be coming back for sure"
"Summary: I went to Midas because I believed in their reputation and figured they’d be the best option to fix this major issue. I went in on 11/6 in the evening to get my catalytic converter replaced (not cheap) and was told that it’ll be ready the next day. Got my car back thinking everything was fine. Nope, I received my car back with my radio display damaged with a partial black screen/line going across it and a busted radiator. And check engine light still on. Story: I get my car back, I drive down the street to QT, my check engine light comes back on and my car starts jerking. Now at QT, I get out and my car is smoking and leaking green fluid. I’m just like really?! So I text the guy at Midas named Jason, (he was really nice also) to inform him what was going on with my car. He told me to bring it back. So I took my car to them after work, we looked under the hood and apparently the radiator hose busted and leaked fluid (which they forgot to replace the coolant after they fixed the hose, that’s another story) So he said he’d repair it. He got the car and told me that he’ll have it ready for me the next day before I went in to work at 10am. I didn’t get my car back until 10 minutes before I had to get off work at 6pm the next day. When I received my car back my radio display was damaged with a partial black line going through it when that’s not how I sent my car. I informed Jason of this issue and the engine light he told me the engine light should go off after a while once I keep driving it. And that “he didn’t know what happened to the screen and he’ll look at the cameras, but they didn’t do anything inside the car”. I honestly don’t think they looked at my car because he never gave me an update. So I had someone I know take my car back because I’m a student and very busy, I don’t have time to keep going back and forth to a car shop. The car is at the shop again with someone whom I sent with on my behalf. They then tell him my radiator is damaged and I needed a new one. I get the news and I’m just devastated! I went in for one thing and came out with a whole slew of issues. I went to another Midas on San Pedro because it was closer to where I lived to get a another opinion/look, they said that i had a code 420 and the previous Midas may have put on an after market Catalytic Converter…. Which I wasn’t aware of. So I finally put in a complaint last week to corporate not realizing that Midas is individually owned or franchised. The owner calls me, but I missed his call and tried to call him back several times but no answer or reply. The fact that customers spend thousands of dollars there and no resolution of their issues is a heinous act of customer service. I personally hate doing bad reviews for companies because I believe in giving opportunities to fix such issues because I know we’re all human. But when there is a severe lack in customer service I have no other choice but to call out companies who don’t appreciate their customers no matter the class, background, looks, etc. Prayers."
"Danielle, Pablo, and everyone I interacted with was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I truly could not have asked for a better experience with my car’s issue. Danielle was very patient and explained the issue without being condescending at all, and Pablo (and everyone else who may have worked on the car) did excellent work with a very quick turnaround. I fully expected my car to be out of commission for an extended period of time, but thanks to the Midas team, I was able to pick up my car within two days! I’m very thankful for their customer service and expertise."
"Came here for and oil change. Received quick and friendly service. Did not have to wait long for them to take my car in which was great! Would recommend and will come back for future needs."
