"The technician came to look at my dryer and told me I needed a heating element and a timer. Then proceeded to quote me a price that exceeded the value of the washer and dryer. The tech David googled parts and quoted me prices, however , when I googled the parts they were 40 and 70 dollars. Then proceeded to charge me the consult fee. If he didn’t want to do the job he should said that. I contacted another company who are reasonably priced and honest. I would not recommend using this service or technician. Update: While I understand that you only use certain parts the quote I was given should not have far exceeded the value of the. Also, the technician that actually fixed the unit used OEM parts and did not charge me above the price of a new unit. The service, parts, and labor were far cheaper with warranty. I also cleaned the lent components myself with the help of building maintenance. I was still way over quoted unnecessarily. The guy quoted me well over $600 and that’s ridiculous."
