"Was staying nearby for business and stopped here for some bbq. They were having a brisket sandwich lunch special when I came in so I hopped on that, with a side of green beans and Mac n cheese. First the Mac - well not too much to say here. It wasn’t anything that stood out, kind of just your plane jane Mac n cheese. It was okay, similar to store bought stuff. I wouldn’t recommend but it’s not bad. 2.5/5 star rating. Green beans next - these were a slight step up from the Mac. They had decent flavor but again, nothing to really write home about. Buttery tasting but a tad too much liquid in the container. 3/5 star rating. Brisket sandwich - where to begin…this is not what I was expecting at all. Its appearance was more akin to sloppy Joe than a brisket sandy. The color had a strange orange-ish hue to it. It smelled and tasted pretty good. I’d have preferred actual chopped brisket instead of this mush but again the taste was decent. All things considered and leaning more towards taste it was a 3.3/5 star rating. But I wasn’t a huge fan of how it was done or the texture."

"Small place but big flavor. Some of the best sliced brisket I’ve ever had and I’ve had my fair share of brisket being from Texas. It isn’t just about the meat; gotta have good sauce and the spicy sauce is on point. Plan a trip and don’t just wait to be in the area!"

"Delicious and good service. My only one complaint is that prices have gone up but aren't reflected on the menu. I understand if you can't replace the menu because it's costly, but at least have a paper printed version with the new prices below the regular menu. Otherwise, it feels like you're charging extra prices to tourists/non-locals and that's not a great feeling :) Ok, now for the good! A meal of 3 meats + 2 sides ($17.50 instead of $14) was enough for 2 of us (on the smaller side). All the meats were tasty: the brisket, the ribs, and the spicy pulled pork (which was quite spicy). The side green beans were heavenly and we were inspired to start cooking beans like that at home, it was our favorite thing of the meal (even though the meats were the protagonist). The potato salad was also yummy. The restaurant has a couple of tables, a free bar with pickles, jalapenos, and sauces. They serve several soft drinks and iced teas ($1.99, refillable). They take credit card at a 3% surcharge."

"Found this place when we were walking and it was our greatest find in Texas! We wanted to try a little bit of everything so my partner got the rib platter and I got the 3 meat combo. I chose spicy pulled pork (my favorite), sliced brisket and jalopeno/cheddar sausage. ALL OF IT WAS AMAZING. Our sides were mac and cheese, pinto beans and potato salad. Again all of it was good but the potato salad was the best. We got there before it got busy so food was quick and the owners obviously put love and a ton of work into everything they do. Cannot suggest this place enough!"
