"Came back on a Wednesday, and it was good. I've never had the assorted pato plate fair. yet I was not that happy about the chicken chalupa. The chicken was very dry and had no flavor even tho it was chicken guisado it didnt give it justice, which was just too darn dry. The lady didn't take my order correctly. i asked her instead of charro beans i wanted refried, and she forgot. Anyways I'll think again about this imparticular plate. Enchiladas weren't the best yet not the worst either, and the corn tortilla is not your common and typical corn tortillas they have a different texture, so some will like it and some won't like it. They're ok, but i won't get them on a regular basis. And stick to my usual pato taco beef cheese and avocado."

"Hands down The Best El Pato in the RGV! The Manager Mr. Gonzalez (hope I got it right) runs a tight ship and the product quality shows. Here's where you get the absolute best El Pato experience anywhere in South Texas. The best El Pato food that everyone talks about is at this location right next to Car Wash Car Wash. The ENTIRE menu is great here because the staff takes pride in their work. The choice is easy for us, whenever we feel like having El Pato, this is the #1 place to go!! Great Job and 2 thumbs up for this store and all it's staff!!!"

"El Pato is the Valley. If you grew up in the Valley, it's the equivalent of growing up with McDonald's, but with a Mexican/Valley flair and food. The food is affordable and consistent. If you want a quick bite, cheap, El Pato is the way to go. You can grab a bean and egg Pato, a potato and egg Pato, or any combination for less than 2 dollars. I did give 4 stars instead of 5 stars for service because of the napkins. The drinks, ice salt, pepper, and sugar are all in a service station. But if you want napkins, God forbid you want some at a restaurant, you actually have to ask for them, because they are behind the counter. Since when did asking for napkins become an item that you need staff for help? Have napkins in a restaurant become such a commodity that they have to be rationed? Anyway, this isn't the fault of the staff. The staff are super friendly and attentive. El Pato is a regular breakfast meetup for friends and family. If you end up moving out of the Valley, El Pato food will definitely be something that you will miss."
