"UPDATE.Yet again, the scamming continues. Signs all through store say take an additional 50% off lowest mark clearance tag, additional discount taken at register.. No scanners work or are disabled throughout the store AT BOTH LOCATIONS. When i took 30 clearance items to checkout, only 4 rang up as signage stated. Others items discounted only 30% or less. Manager at south academy could not be asked to reason on misleading signage. PLEASE DO NOT BE RIPPED OFF BY THIS FALSE ADVERTISING! Found a great deal on a marked down item. When cashier asked for lookup from the outdoor dept, the man, without skipping a beat, said it was misplaced. I ran to the shelf and took a pic of the tag. The guy then walked up, and not knowing i was the one confirming price, proceeded to remove tag of item. I said " no worries, i took a pic". When i went back to check out, i heard the manager on the radio tell the cashier to open my SEALED FROM THE FACTORY BOX to make sure i hadnt stolen anything. This will be the last time i shop at this north location profiling Academy. Btw, the Academy south of town had the same item on sale too. No problems there. Spend a little gas money and visit the cleaner , friendlier, customer supportive south Lubbock location. Managers there have always been top notch.Wish i could give zero stars to tbe 19th street location."
