"Avoid this anesthesiologist. They used fishy billing practices, so pay close attention on their issued bills. They try not to file claim with insurance to overcharge patients by denying insurance deductions/discounts. They initially charged me ~32 % more as did not file insurance claim. On contacting insurance, I found no claim was filled by them. I asked reference## of claim filled to investigate but no information was provided. Finally after providing Insurance information 3rd time to them, they claimed insurance and instead of sending me correct bill, send bill to collection lawyer. Lawyer provided me information on their claim filled and what I owed. They can send me bill directly but apparently choose not to do so ( may be angry because I forced them to bill insurance first and charge me properly by applying insurance deductions on inaccurate bill). Insurance need to check all Anesthesiologist Claims where services are rendered at facility level and approved but this or any other provider has not filled claims and subsequently overbill patients. This is important to protect patients rights."

"I received a bill from Northside Anesthesia Services after having back surgery in May 2023. They had not submitted to my insurance so I called. They first claimed that they had submitted to my insurance which I rebuked as there was not a claim submitted to Anthem (nor a denial). The next communication was December 1st when I received a letter from a debt collector for the bill. I called Northside Anesthesia Services and received a recording that "after attempting to contact me several times, they had forwarded my bill to a debt collector." The only communication I received was the initial ill. Not a 30 day notice. Not a 60 day notice. Not a single phone call. When I called Northside Anesthesia today, they had me on hold for several minutes. When he returned, I confirmed that he worked for Northside Anesthesia Billing and that Northside Anesthesia accepted my insurance (Anthem). He stated he would process the bill through my insurance. I asked him to contact the debt collector to advise him of the error and he refused."

"I’d give zero if possible. My insurance PAID my bill but they keep contacting me. I had a cesarean and they somehow are trying to charge me for a surgery that I didn’t have and on a day I wasn’t in the hospital. I have told my doctor office not to use them."

"If you can avoid the services of this group, please do. They sent the wrong member name to anthem, resulting in a denial, and as others have stated, despite many attempts and reassurances this was taken care of, we were threatened by collections for a billing mistake they made. We will be asking who is doing our anesthesia going forward and avoiding this group if at all possible."

"Similar to other reviews we experienced a billing issue with north side anesthesia services. Our son was born in Feb 2021. North side had our incorrect address and insurance info despite all our other medical bills having the correct info. We were notified about the bill in Aug 2022 via a collections notice that appeared fraudulent. We called north side anesthesia, they notified us that they didn't send the bill to collections, our account has zero balance, and to ignore the notice. June 2023 we receive notice we're due in small claims court. Despite countless phone calls to all parties involved, we still don't have a copy of the original bill. Recommend avoiding this business if possible. Currently exploring a method to report this to the better business bureau."
