"Reply to owner's reply================= Don't spam Google reviews. I have attached pictures of the move in condition. What is resolution for that? I have already tried all the communication channels at Beau Jardin. It is like banging head on a stone. A purpose of my review is to educate students on the harassment that Beau Jardin does. Original review================= They basically prey on international and/or student population. They have hired sweet talking people who are expert in making fool out of you. My experience: 1. Move in condition: My kitchen was not cleaned. It was greasy and there was trash left (attached pictures). There were cockroaches. I complained on the second day of move in and then regularly up to two months. No one came to check the apartment even though the office is next door. I had to clean everything with my own expenses and time. I am very curious to know their professional cleaning company to ban them for life. They couldn't even clear the trash which is basic cleaning. This is not an isolated incidence. My friend got an apartment with a clogged toilet and fingernails in carpet (even though they charge ~$120 for carpet cleaning upon move out to every resident) 2. Apartment: spacious but old. Kitchen is designed so that you don't feel like cooking at all. No ventilation. Taps are so low that you cannot even wash a bowl. There is no dishwasher in 1B. Its so small and dark that you cannot use half of the drawers. There is rust and dirt/ spots in all places. 3. Maintenance: They are pretty quick to come and tell you to do it yourself. For example, getting rid of rust which was present upon move in, fixing stuck windows, curtains. They fixed a leaking tap after 4 complaints and a leaking flush after 2 complaints. 4. Move out: They charge for random things. For example, a bent strap of curtains ($35), carpet cleaning ($120) even if you don't have pets or even if your carpet is clean. 5. Staff: They seem helpful. But they are actually not. Occasionally they are rude. They sent me an incorrect move out bill to pay on the same day, and said the property manager is not available to resolve the issues until next week. There is no substitute if the property manager is not available. As a student there are not many housing options around here. But if you are renting here, be careful to check all the details!"

"I lived here for 2 years and I enjoyed my time here. The leasing staff, especially Cathy, was immensely helpful and kind. Maintenance was always fast although some of the repair jobs were done in a rush without much thought to long-term repairs. The apartments are older and the carpet could use replacing but the size was comfortable for me. I never had any noise complaints and the location was unbeatable especially for the price. A good option for students who want to live farther from campus."

"I lived here until recently. The only good thing is the quick *ordinary maintenance service. The apartments are old enough and the insulation is the worst. In the winter, you will find cold air entering your home from every direction- windows, bottom of the walls and all over the living room. I had to keep the thermostat at 88 to keep the apartment livable. Carpets were aged enough 5 years back to replace it but the management won't replace in next 5 years as well."

"I'll try to make the best review for all students looking at this option. The place is nice, I believe there are only a few places (apartment complex) that have an inner garden with a path to walk. They do take care of the gardens and they are pretty. It's really safe to walk your dogs as well. The bus stop to go to Purdue is right outside of the entrance and It will take you around 8 to 10 min to get to Purdue Campus. It’s also really close to Walmart and Payless and other small restaurants and chains. The inside of the apartments is good average. You'll receive your apartment in good shape. Since they are old, expect to find some details in the walls and doors (scratches, defects, etc). Same goes for the kitchen, the cabinets, oven and fridge look old, but they are functional and work great. The response of the team is really good, if you call maintenance for some issue, probably they will be with you in the following hours or next day. They maintenance technicians are really nice and friendly. They place is quite calm, not too much noise at night. If you manage to have neighbors that don’t make to much noise , your stay in here will be really good. Beside the rent displayed on the webpage , you must add around 40 to 50 dlls in fees regarding water service , sewer, trash, renters insurance, etc. So consider this on your budget. Overall I’m happy here and It is a good place. I hope you find the information useful."

"Update on 3/9/2020: I have lived in Beau Jardin for two years now and I have renewed my lease for another year. I still think they are awesome and very accommodating in any matter. I am extremely pleased with my apartment, the management, and the maintenance. I have lived in Beau Jardin for 5 months now, and everything has been great so far. The maintenance is unbelievably fast and professional. The main office staff are friendly and cooperative. It's a pleasure living here! Thanks Beau Jardin and Hunter Properties."
