Comfort Inn & Suites Fishers - Indianapolis

"Great rooms, very clean. Easy to get to. The heat/ac didn't work properly, made the stay uncomfortable, hard to enjoy the rest; was hoping to be offered some money back or some kind of compensation, but nothing. At least I got "I'm sorry"! Breakfast was ok, but nothing over the top."

"Pros: Modern decor, not too noisy for being next to the Interstate, convenient location. Cons: Room key cards stop working BEFORE check out time, housekeeping knocked on my door an hour and a half before check out time waking me up. Major Issue: [Context: When I checked out there was a couple in front of me at the front desk questioning why the hotel was not returning their deposit. When checking out, the family had informed the hotel that they held a child's birthday party in the room and there was confetti on the floor. When the front desk said they would not refund the deposit the couple offered to go back to the room and clean up the mess themselves but the front desk would not return their room key even though it was not yet check out time (I arrived at the front desk at 10:50 and they had been there for a while; check out time is 11:00).] The employee was on the phone and after a few minutes came back and said they would not return the deposit. When the couple asked why the hotel would not refund it, the employee claimed it was because housekeeping "would have to clean their room longer". I pointed out that this is not a legitimate reason for withholding a deposit as the hotel's terms and conditions require a deposit in the event of damage and/or incidentals. Vacuuming a room's floor is something the hotel's cleaning staff should be doing after EVERY stay; it is not an additional service to charge for. By this time more people arrived in line behind me and the couple asked to speak with whomever the employee was speaking with on the phone. The employee spoke on the phone again and then said they would return $80 (out of the $100 deposit). He then said the manager was on the way and that if the couple did not leave he was going to call the police. The employee then checked me out and gave me my receipt. I asked if I was being charged a cleaning fee and he said no. I asked why not since no one from the hotel had even inspected my room yet to see if it was clean or needed “additional cleaning”. He looked around nervously and didn’t respond. Why would the hotel treat me differently than they treated the other couple? Is it because I am white and the couple is black?"

"There were roaches, spiderwebs & dead flies in my room. Pool area was raggedy. The paint on my door was chipped so bad. I was in room 222. Lobby had an odor. Service was terrible after my complaints. They offered me $11 off my TWO NIGHT stay for the accommodation."

"Everything was good. The suite we were in was the strangest layout we've seen in a motel. The sitting area had a couch & a table for 2 BUT NO TV. Then a bathroom with lots of space but no reason for it. And the bedroom was cramped with a King Bed, a Dresser & a TV. We could not have my brother & his wife there to watch football & play table games. We went to their room, not a suite where we had enough space to have a nice visit, watch football & play table games. We will probably stay here again as it is a halfway point between our homes approximately 200 miles away for each couple. But we will avoid getting a suite ."

"Bright, clean hotel and rooms. Room was nicely set up with lots of outlets and a comfortable bed. Shower had hot water and decent pressure. Hotel was seemingly very understaffed. The same 2 people were alternating front desk duty during our 4 day stay. Didn't see housekeeping on any of the floors until we were checking out on Sunday - no complaints about room cleanliness, was just incredibly odd to not see anyone from that department throughout the day. On one elevator trip, a guest was carrying up a plunger to take care of their stopped toilet... I was in disbelief, to be honest. Breakfast buffet was not attended at all. There was a large band group staying here, so one would think they would keep an eye on the food levels. Someone finally went to find the guy at the desk and ask him to make more food. Location is convenient to downtown Indy."
