Crowne at Grandview Apartments

"Please run as fast as you can from these people! They ask for excessive application fee of $200. Plus a deposit fee of $150.00. Before even getting an approval on your application! After you pay them $350. Total then for some reason your’re not approved they keep your $200. Also they tell you they will return only $150. Of the $350 by mail!!"

"The Crowne has been one of the best apartments I’ve lived in while in Birmingham. Leasing office throws lots of events and food trucks come through a lot. Staff and maintenance are quick to respond and helpful! No parking trouble, no loud neighbors, overall it was a quiet community. Only issue I’ve had were with gnats early on that were taken of."

"I've lived here approaching 2 years now and I have no big complaints. I've lived in a variety of apartments along 280 in my adult life and The Crowne at Grandview has by far been the best experience. The property is well maintained, and any issues I've had have been quickly rectified. My AC went out during a holiday weekend one summer and the emergency maintenance person on call responded quickly and had a portable unit installed while I waited for the permanent replacement. I've had an issue with pests at other places but I've barely seen anything in my time here. I see a few people in other reviews complaining about neighbors but that is a risk with any multi family dwelling unfortunately. I can say I've only had 2 very small inconveniences caused by neighbors and the office staff was great about it and handled it immediately. I'm also incredibly fortunate to have some of the sweetest neighbors living on my floor now and they definitely make living here more enjoyable. I obviously can't speak for everyone, but as someone living on the 3rd floor I make a sincere effort to be mindful of the fact someone lives below me and do my best not to do anything they would find irritating. I'd like to hope most people in an upstairs unit would do the same."

"I’ve lived here since 2019 and I highly recommend this to be in your top 3 choices. Maintenance is always quick, great residents events, lots of parking, and the staff are always kind. Units are spacious and clean, and they help with any needs. My only problem is the residents. On top of some recent residents who have been playing loud music late at night even after multiple noise complaint warnings, there are students from Highlands College who take up at least 30% of the units and they are always loud, park in the middle of the road, and disrespectful when you ask them to be quiet or move."

"I have lived at Crowne at Grandview for more than 2 years and have had a great experience with the management and staff. The maintenance people are awesome as well. Apartments are nice, clean and spacious. The area is great, peaceful and close to shopping malls, grocery stores and the hospital is right next to it. The only issues I have had were noisy neighbors on the top floor of my apartment and the management tried their best to take care of it, but they could not resolve the issue. Since I was almost ending my lease to move to another state, I just waited to move out. If you are planning to commute to downtown/UAB the traffic is bad on 280, especially after work (mornings are usually not too bad if you leave early). It may take you 1-1.5 hour on a rainy day to get back for the 15 mins drive. Usually it is 30-40 minutes on regular days after work. I stayed at Crowne at Grandview and did not mind the commute to downtown because I loved this location and my apartment. I recommend this place."
