"Excellent apartment. I lived at Hillside Manor for over two years. Austin at H2 was very responsive and proactive with any issue. The maintenance team would get with me shortly after any request. I can speak enough about the location, space , and team that made this living experience top notch. I would highly recommend!"
"I've lived here for going on 2 years in one of the townhouses. I don't agree with the 1 star reviews here, but some people's experience may be different. This is a good apartment complex and the neighbors here are quiet and respectful 99.9% of the time. There's lots of dogs here, which I appreciate, some may not. In our experience we've not had a problem with any major appliance. Just a few issues with the plumbing, which have been resolved, and with the AC. Which is a constant battle in Alabama. We're in a townhouse, and although H2 doesn't approve of installed window units, we got a rolling AC unit and I turn it on briefly to cool off the upstairs which can get ~15 degrees warmer than downstairs. H2 has been very responsive to maintenance requests. Their maintenance team, especially Victor, have been very happy to help. All in all, it has been a good experience living here. It's not glamorous, but it's priced accordingly. Walking distance to highlands and away from the hubbub of downtown."
"I have lived here for 5 months now. It's not the most glamorous place by any means, but I haven't had any issues until recently with the new management company H2 Real Estate. Recently the complex had the water turned off for plumbing work 2 different times. They emailed us to let us know they were cutting off the water. Well the second time they shut off the water, I didn't have my mine turned back on until 5 days later after I had to call them and see what was I thought just them taking a long time to complete the work. The problem was......They just FORGOT about my unit. I stayed in hotels for 3 of those 5 nights/4 days. Because I didn't reach out earlier, they aren't going to give any kind of concession or reimbursement for my out of pocket for their over look. Never have I had this issue happen. BEWARE if you rent with them. Constantly stay on them because they clearly don't care when they are in the wrong and cost their tenant unecessary out of pocket fees. It's especially upsetting, because I keep a super low profile and always pay my rent on time."
