Athens Square Apartments

"Since capital property management solutions took over living at these apartments was definitely a bad idea. i lived here for 6 years and the last year was horrible because the so called managers are rude and they did not fix stuff in a timely manner due to them having the maintenance men trying to "remodel" take out carpet and add hardwood to some apartments that are old so they can raise the prices. I also suggest not listening to the manager when it comes to moving out..She told me everything had to be removed and to make sure the cabinets and counters were cleaned out.I cleaned the whole apartment and vacuumed carpets when I moved for them to send a bill to collections saying it was for red spots and black marks. I contacted them via email,phone,and text about this matter and didnt get a response. I'm not sure how the expect a carpet that wasnt new to begin with to be in pristine condition after being there for 6 years and having a ac that leaked for a week before they came by to fix it. THEY DONT FIX STUFF IN A TIMELY MANNER EITHER and most the time the excuse used was they weren't in Athens or they were at apartment complexes not close by..My yub kept leaking into my kitchen the majority of the time I lived there and all they did was plaster and paint over it saying that it wasnt the tub that leaked. The previous manager told me in the past that it was the tub when they had fixed the leak before.DO NOT RENT THESE NOW OVERPRICED APARTMENTS because they are not worth it."

"Highly discourage anyone from renting here. I have been here almost three years and am thankfully finally able to move. The buildings have mold in the window sills. There was severe water damage done to my apartment from a flood where a pipe had cracked and flooded my apartment. It took over six months to get them to adequately replace and repair molded rotting Sheetrock. There is still molded rotting wood that they painted over that is showing through again. There is damaged rotting trim and wood in the bathroom they never fixed from the same flood. They refused to replace the carpet that was supposed to be new when I moved in but was not. The Sheetrock in the utility closet outside is ruined from the water damaged also never fixed. If you have problems with spiders or brown recluse more specifically they will not call pest control for over a month to get it taken care of. The managers Mandy and Monica are very rude. They are not proactive and seemingly have little knowledge of what goes on here on the property seeing as to how their office is not on the property they are in cullman. Living here has been nothing short of a nightmare. And who ever owns this property should be made aware of how their property is managed. 10/10 do not recommend moving into these apartments. Also people constantly park on the curb behind the cars parked in actual spots and make it impossible to get in or out of your spot. Management also has no suggestions on what to do about this problem either. The grass gets knee high before they’ll cut it. They do not change air filters out but maybe once a quarter. The upstairs stays extremely hot or cold depending on the temp outside."

"Lil Old lonely Nosey Woman who watch n Gossip to Michelle like the police. She isn’t really concerned about nothing but talking about your business as they watch you like a hawk. No privacy the turn over is consistent with move outs. Just like that David guy said she really don’t have a clue on what to do. She run that place like she a Messy high school kid. Heart less person who made me and my kid homeless for a cat n hear say I see why God took her love ones away because she doesn’t know God.."
