Valparaiso Family Dentistry

"My mother-in-law was charged for a Medicaid-covered service at Valparaiso Dentistry and we were treated rudely by the office manager when we found out that she was covered by Medicaid for this service and that we had mistakenly paid for the charge. We should never have been responsible for the charge and they should never have asked us for payment. We have been going around and around with the office manager saying she would resubmit even though she said there wasn’t a mistake. The facility where she stays and is paid for by her social security and a small pension from her deceased husband, has contacted Valparaiso Dentistry and their private billing company to no avail even after they presented evidence that she has no assets to “spend down” and hasn’t for years. Considering how they treat the most vulnerable of us, I could not recommend them to anyone for any procedure."

"It took me awhile to get into this dentist for a routine cleaning. I brought my 3 children out in the cold snowy weather to their appointments to find a sign on their door that said they were closed. I then called the office and the lady claimed they had called me 3 days prior to reschedule my appointment yet I had no missed calls or voicemails from them! Don’t waste your time like I did! Find a different dentist! A lady in the building down the hall said this has happened to multiple people!"

"Don't make this place your first choice. I have decided to find dental service elsewhere. The last 2 times I was there they first performed services on my daughter's teeth without checking with me or the insurance for coverage and then sent me a huge bill because the insurance wouldn't pay . Secondly, I showed up to my appointment to find out they had rescheduled it to the following month (this also has happened to my husband in the past). It took me months to get in there in the first place. They said they tried calling me. So it seems when they couldn't get a hold of me they just rescheduled it anyway. I don't plan on going back and you shouldn't waist your time there either since it seems they are SO busy they can't offer good customer service."

"We made an appointment two months out. Our greeting was “good news, you don’t have the seen the dentist today” like our kids dental health apparently is a chore. There was allegedly an “internet” outage, but I could see the receptionist on her email, which she told me was working. As the dentist told us himself we should just leave instead of waiting for a resolution, another family showed up with their kids who were magically “already in the system” and were seen by the dentist. No offer to help with another appointment and by patiently waiting they acted like we were putting them out and should just leave."

"I will never again take my child to see Dr Crawford through Wall Street office. He is extremely rude and did not enter my paperwork correctly and began to tell me I refused a treatment on my child which I didn’t. He did the treatment. My child has gone there 3 times for the same issue and has yet to help resolve what I need to do for my child. Absolutely disgusting behavior by this doctor."
