"I understand why this Hilton Garden Inn has so many bad reviews. As a Diamond member, this hotel staff doesn't care. Go to another Hilton Garden Inn for Great stay"

"Our visits to Birmingham are not for work or pleasure, but of a family necessity. We have stayed at this location many times in the past 5 months, ranging from a week to a month at each visit. We have seen first hand the improvements which have taken place during this time and all have increased the positivity of our stay. The employees have been extremely courteous and friendly as well. Special kudos to our housekeeper of most visits, Victoria. Even when she is not in charge of spiffing up our room she continually greets us knowingly. In addition, Kendrick has been right on top of things which we have requested for maintenance and has a very pleasant demeanor with hotel guests. Special thanks to Jayda at the desk who has graciously assisted us with our extended stays. She definitely puts the guest needs forefront and goes the extra mile to assist in all ways possible. We are thankful to be welcome here and to see these kind faces every month."

"Staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. Good location. Room was clean. Pot smell in 6th floor hallway. Large gap at bottom of the door so you could hear and smell everything from 619 across the hall. Seemed like a long term renter. Woke up to smell of pot in the room. Probably won't return."

"Horrible place! What is the pantry charge on my final bill? I did not purchase any pantry items. I'm a silver member and supposed to get 2 waters given free of any charges. The first room I was assigned was filthy. I was given a new room but the floor was still filthy and made our feet black. I made three staff aware that I had forgotten one of my items and they said they'd look for it and then said they didn't find it when I know for a fact that I had brought it with me. that was a brand new bottle of endless sea lotion from bath and body works. Some staff were nice and some were down right rude . This was the worst Hilton experience I've ever encountered. The first room, the microwave had cheese melted all in it, broken sheer controls, no heat, nasty floors and no safety locks The second room had a stain on one of the sheets , hair on corner of the tub, nasty floors. The pool has no towels. Now the guy that I told that to was kind enough to get my some towels. The lady that changed my rooms seemed a bit rude telling me the cleaning crew done left for the day and at first she hung up fast. I called back giving her the benefit of the doubt. Definitely not a good experience and should not even be a Hilton. I will be calling back headquarters about this experience. The least they could do is give extra points and also pay me back for the waters they charged me for that were supposed to be free. I will not return to this hotel ever again !"

"Robin at the front desk was amazing. Everyone we encountered during our stay was great & helpful. Robin was extraordinary in whatever we needed & just in general passing. Everyone greeted you as you came & went & even helped out with some forgotten toiletries. Will definitely stay again. The corridors and rooms needed some cosmetic updates/touch-ups, but it was clean and comfortable, and we felt safe. The lobby, bar, and outside patio area were serene & welcoming. It smelled inviting when you walked in & thru the lobby. There's also an indoor pool area with patio furniture, a coin-operated washer & and dryer, as well as conference rooms and a workout room. There are a LOT of stores & restaurants to eat/shop around it. It was close enough to the MCC festivities to get to and far enough away to not be affected by the traffic of it."
