Dollar General Market

"It's almost like having a mini Walmart. They have all kinds of food, including fresh produce. They also have some clothing, a little bit of electronic stuff, plus all the other stuff you find in a dollar store. Prices on most items are great. They have lots of DVDs at very low prices. It's the place that will most likely have what you're looking for. I'd say it's the best store in Elwood."

"I'm new to town and have shopped this store maybe 3 times. I went there last wk. and got groceries and seen a coffee table I liked. I got to the checkout, put all my stuff up on to belt. The table was in cart. Here is where MY COMPLAINT COMES IN... it was NOT offered to come scan the table. So I lifted it onto the belt and the box came open EVERYTHING landed on bridge and big toe on my left foot. 2 EMPLOYEES AT ANOTHER REGISTER (AT MY BACK) STOOD THERE TALKING, PERSON WAITING ON ME JUST SAID "I KNOW THAT HURT!" THEN I ASKED IF THEY COULD AT LEAST TAPE IT BACK UP FOR ME AND WAS TOLD. "WE DONT HAVE ANY TAPE" are you kidding me. THIS IS DOLLAR GENERAL.. GO GET IT OFF THE SHELF AN WRITE it off!! They all stood there, watched me hobble out. I got home and couldn't walk on my foot for the last 4 days. I am contacting the corporate office. I have a screw in that foot (prior accident). NOBODY asked my info or wrote up the incident . TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT SKILLS!!"

"Huge selection. Like a miniature Walmart. My only complaint is that prices marked on shelf are not always what they appear to be when checking out. Promotions are easy and great on a budget, the staff is also friendly knowledgeable and helpful"

"The best place in the area for shopping on a budget. Awesome, friendly, helpful associates. Only down side is they cut their grocery area last year & now have so much less then they once did. Which makes me have to stop at 3 places for budget shopping instead if 1."

"This place has went to heck. Every time I go out there someone is parked in front of the front doors.(management should do something) Then once you get in you have to deal with employees that don't want to be there. 1 Male employee who seems a little off for working in the public, walks around staring at women like he going to attack them. Then there is a female cashier that reeks of booze(saw her get out of the car next to me before going into work, there was a half gallon of booze setting in the floor board half gone) there's only a handful of employees that will assist you.(about 5) Most of the time they are out of half of everything you need to complete a meal And now they are following suit and raising their prices like its a high end supermarket."
