"Honestly, I think I’m done going here unless it’s absolutely necessary. It’s supposed to be a “convenient location”, but it seems like more of a waste of space and an unnecessary attraction of attention from other towns, and brings in more traffic for no necessary reason. Their hours are just a straight shot. They’re open full hours maybe one day out of the week usually. I honestly think they need to either close the doors until they get more, properly trained staff, or just permanently. Having a store with no set hours is inconvenient, waiting 20 minutes after having to dig through racks and boxes just to get your items is an inconvenience, and most of the time the attitudes of the employees is just disgusting. Their tags are never right. The tags will say $1, but then you look at your receipt and you paid $1.87 for Clover Valley product when you could have gotten the same thing in a better brand for $1.75, or is that even the right price for that item too? Knowing whether the price is accurate or not is a guessing game. Finding the items you need is like playing Tetris trying to always move around the carts. Self checkout never works, and when it does you can’t use cash, or you can and then just get no change, which has happened to me a few times, I in a $20 for $11 worth of items. Got no change back, addressed it with the “cashier” and was told “sorry, you’ll have to contact corporate!”. Your no longer offered a receipt, you have to request it, and half of the time they tell you the transaction has been completed and they can’t provide you a receipt now. I think I use my dollar general account maybe once every 4-6 months because they never ever give you the chance to input your number and then sigh and complain when you say you need to. Honestly. I think it’s best to shut it down until full staffing can be provided. It’s not worth it anymore."

"It is a great store. Awesome customer service. Has what it needs to be a decent store. Great prices too. The placement on the map is nice because the town needs a good store like this one."

"This store is pretty good! Seems to carry more product than where I usually go in Fort Wayne. Or they are just stocked up like they should be. Either way I prefer to give this small town my money when I drive through rather than the ones in FTW."

"The Monroeville mall! We are limited here and the DG has a huge amount of inventory and variety. People complain about the customer service but I try to consider that to keep their prices low, they pay their cashiers low wages and it doesn’t lead to excellent attitudes. I always try to leave them with a smile of my own."

"DG in Monroeville is very handy. But the employees need to be more professional and attentive to the customers. My last visit for example, the cashier totally ignored me, didn't count my change and didn't say thank you. Something needs to be done. Dale Martin"
