"Only hardware store in Elwood, and they know it. You can tell by the pricing. What might cost you $100 out of town might cost you $200 or $300 here.. for example. Their cheapest fishing pole is $179. Or $20 at walmart.. Yet they want us to shop local.. only got the 3 stars because the staff is friendly and helpful."
"Confusing as far as trying to price certain items without needing to ask an associate, but all the associates seemed to be kind and likable but it did seem to feel as if they are so dang used to dealing with thieves that they don't even realize they are accidentally and unintentionally giving off the vibes of assuming each and every customer is in fact stealing when I know it's sometimes hard to the good herd from the bad herd, but we are definitely not all thieves or up to no good!!"
"Doesn't open at 8 like it says the workers were just going in at 8 so if you need stuff you will have to sit and wait its 10 after and there still not open I came here because of the time so I didn't have to wait till 9 for the other place to open waste of time"
"I usually have no issues when shopping at True Value, but here lately it has been extremely absurd. I always come in for the same Pedigree dog food, and make sure to get Milk Bones for my puppy. Yet, a lady in which is located front desk (register), has absolutely ruined my perception of the store. She is rude, inappropriate, and impatient. I get it, we all have needs, but there is no reason to be so unpleasant/ill-mannered towards customers. Not to mention, she's always roaming the store, using inappropriate language, and I tend to discover her absolutely nose deep in her phone; as if she doesn't care to check anyone out. If you don't want to work, then keep your laziness and poor attitude at home. (Blonde, Short, Rubbermaid Container, Glasses.)"
"Didn't have the best experience here. I needed some chain for my truck. One of the guys told me where it was. I had to cut it myself. Then the manager got mad because I was using the machine. Overall, I purchase most of my Business Supplies here. I love to shop locally. And I usually have great experiences here."
