About the Business

Jocko's

Jocko's is a family restaurant located at 305 West Williams Street in Danville, Illinois. The restaurant has a rich history, as it was built on the site of an old freight house that served as a departure point for the C.C.C. and St. Louis Railroads in the early 1900s. Jocko's opened its doors in 1972, aiming to preserve the spirit and authenticity of Danville's railroading heritage.

Although the noise and activity of the old freight house are no longer present, the restaurant pays homage to its history through its decor and ambiance. When a train passes by, it serves as a reminder of the bustling past of the area. Jocko's prides itself on being a local family restaurant, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. If you're looking for a taste of Danville's history and delicious food, Jocko's is the place to be.

"Went here for a lunch with my mom. Service was excellent. We both had a toasted turkey sandwich. I also had a chicken noodle soup. Both were very tasty. Definitely recommend!!"

"Quiet frankly a very disappointing visit. My Alfredo pasta was unseasoned and extra dry even more than the bread sticks they gave me instead of my ordered garlic bread!! My daughter Fry's was pasty seemingly uncooked. Than to add irritation on my dry tongue, They added balls of sausage to my lasagna instead of the plain cheese and sauce lasagna that I clearly ordered for my daughter. If my daughter wanted meat I would have ordered her there pepperoni. When I called I was told by the shift manager Riley that he was more than 100% sure that there is no sausage but that it was the meat that is mixed with there sauce. "AS A ADULT I'M MORE THAN SURE I CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEAT SAUCE OR BALLS OF PRE-FROZEN SAUSAGE FROM A DEEP FREEZER" pictures attached (So Y'all Be The Judge) I asked for a email or phone for photos to be sent an was denied. But hey my only option given was to wait a few weeks for a gift card to come in the mail. So to say the less my kids expected Italian in ended up with McDonald's literally "I had to go to McDonald's to feed my kids because all our items were not edible and definitely incorrect!! ONCE AGAIN photo attached. . . What a waste of not only money but time!! Come on Jocko's you can't allow your food to be this inconsistent. . . One positive from our visit my daughter did enjoy the gum from the front gumball machine for .25¢ "Shrug of my shoulders""

"This is our first time eating at Jocko's in Danville, Illinois. Apparently, according to our waitress, they were unusually busy. Despite that, we received our food in a reasonable amount of time and our waitress and the rest of the staff were fantastic. The food was wonderful. We had pizza, and the kids had grilled cheese and soup and pasta. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will definitely go back."

"This was our first visit to Jockos and all I can say is WOW! What a fun atmosphere with lots of memorabilia throughout the dining room and coin operated trains running around the ceiling! The staff is super friendly and the food came out crazy fast! And fresh. We had the cheeseburger pizza which was so flavorful I ate myself miserable lol. Definitely a place I'd like to visit again."

"This is a very quaint restaurant with friendly staff and good food. The prices are virtually unbeatable. Many entree’s were there under $10! The pasta and pizza were great. The wait staff were very attentive and none of our drinks ever got below half full before they were refilled. I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends. If you’re looking for a a family owned restaurant and you’re willing to take a few minutes to drive off I-74 or you’re in Danville, be sure to visit Jocko’s!"
