"Tried to return a comforter that was given as a gift over a year ago. Associate Gabby said she couldn’t give them same dollar value, it would have to be much cheaper. I left but then came back wanting to return it as I changed my mind. Her manager approached and was unkind and unable to provide a positive experience. Wish I could recall her name, she did not give me any refund where as the associate was able to one week prior. Disappointed and frustrated with management at this location. The associate however was kind throughout the entire experience."

"Extremely dangerous large amounts of snowfall and yet this company wants to risk their employees lives for a measly $5 sale. You should be ashamed, disgusted, and absolutely embarrassed. This is corporate greed that needs to be stopped. Do better!!!!"

"Macy's needs to do a serious review of the overall customer experience. This Gurnee location did not have any carts/shopping bags, limited size options, and a lot of sections without staff. And then finally, at check-out I was told that to "accumulate points", the physical card, photo-id and SSN is required (seriously) --- again just to accumulate points NOT to use the CC (we were paying cash). Macy's Chief Digital Officer probably needs to look into aspects around ease of use and improved digital experience for customers in 2024 - provided they have someone in such role."

"I am disappointed with the recent customer service at this location. I understand the return order was a third party however, I did not deserve to be disrespected by the employee.l showed her the return instructions I received by Macy’s. I had the items and also the order numbers. The employee was rude and had an attitude. She did not try and said that this was a smaller location and I thought how does that makes sense if the store can just ship the materials back to the warehouse. I asked to contact with the manager and she refused a couple times until I insisted. At the end, I was disappointed and disrespected. The employee and the manager did not apologize.The manager stood there and observed. I understand the staff has nothing to do with the online return instructions, but they should treat all their customers with respect. I am a platinum status Macy’s customer and I am very disappointed with the unfriendly and disrespectful service at the Gurnee location."
