"First of all let me start by saying that I am a repeat customer and I have always highly recommended Badcock furniture to anyone looking to upgrade their furniture. My most recent experience could not have gotten any worse. If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased a sofa from Badcock furniture in Saraland on Sep 4, 2023 and the store associate that waited on me failed to check the inventory in the warehouse before converting my sales quote into a sales order. She even gave me a confirmation of when my order would arrive at their store. The day before my pick up date, I threw my old sofa out since it was trash pick up to make room for the new sofa. So when it was time for me to pick up my order, I went and rented a trailer and headed up there to pick up my up my order. When I arrived the store associate said that my order wasn’t there and that it was out of stock. All of the employees apologized for the mistake that was made. I asked to speak to a manager, to see if she could make things right with me. The only thing that the manager offered was to give me the floor model that everyone sits on in the store when trying out furniture . Desperately, I was willing to accept the floor model if she could give me a small discount on it. In my opinion a floor model is not considered new anymore. She refused to give me a discount because she stated that it was not that old and it was like getting a new sofa. I am positive that the sofa had been in the store for at least 2 months prior because I came in several times within those two months debating on which sofa I wanted. I refused to accept a floor model as a new sofa since she wouldn’t give me a discount on it. The estimated date of arrival for the sofa that I ordered was almost 4weeks out. So now my family and I are sitting in a family room with no furniture to no fault of our own. After this experience I will never recommend Badcock furniture to anyone else again. This experience was very unorganized and unprofessional on their behalf, without any regards to make the situation right."
