"Super up-to-date, clean, well organized, but they missed the 5-star mark because there was NOT A SINGLE CASHIER for check-out...only self checkout was available which is a major pet peeve of mine. Retailers everywhere are getting journalists to print and publish articles on the rising costs of loss prevention and the rising instance and size of thefts via self-checkout. Well cry me a river. I've read numerous articles recently about people being accosted by staff accusing them of trying to steal because of a missed scan when checking themselves out. I don't know the last time I was in a1 for 1grocery or even a super store that had more than 2 or 3 cashiers working at once, even at peak times. Not only have prices for groceries quadrupled in the last 5 years, I have to scan, bag and process my own payment. These corporations have eliminated billions in reduced and now not only am I spending an inordinate amount I have to worry about being accused of theft if I don't perfectly execute what historically has been the job of a trained, paid cashier. (And I'll get yelled at if I arrive within 30 mins of close.) Sorry for the soap box as my experience here was without any mishaps, but this was the first time I had been in a grocery store that had absolutely no cashiers at all and that piece really irked me."

"I have always loved Winn Dixie because they continued to have personal service with their will they registers open. Not today. They have gone the route of all the other stores, do it yourself. Maybe if I were getting a bargin???bargain???? No I have been willing to pay the extra to have the cashiers ring and bag my groceries. Not anymore. So long winn dixie."

"This Winn-Dixie looks really good since its remodel. I love shopping here and I really love the refreshed look. The employees are always friendly and now they added self checkout but I wish all 4 of the self checkouts took cash and cards. I couldn’t help but to take a few pictures of the store to show off how good it looks and encourage my friends to shop at Winn-Dixie. They are always stocked with merchandise and they have the best meats because they are the beef people. I really encourage everyone to visit the Bessemer Winn-Dixie to shop great deals and get fresh quality on everything."
