"Rip off place, costs me about 300 bucks without providing efficient solution to my hardware problem. I have clearly explained the problems with my laptop at check-in, they took it and returned in 2 hours, cost me 300 bucks, and at night the problem popped up again. Looks like they don’t know what they are doing. Go to TechniGo, they cost a third (a fourth with exact math) and they can fix your problems entirely."
"They have changed their policy on repair times , so be aware of this before purchasing Geek protection. They also now lack their response to customers during repairs, no updates, AT ALL.."
"Please do NOT use this business. My mother brought her laptop in for a "24 hour" (direct quote from the representative) virus scan, as her bank recommended. She waited an additional 24 hours after the quoted wait time, only to be informed that her laptop had been destroyed by the technician performing the service. Now she is without a laptop and the only solution offered by this sham operation is to buy a new one. No compensation offered what-so-ever for destroying her property."
"Don't go here. They will try to sell you a $199 plan, no matter the issue. I had a laptop driver issue the guy admitted was an easy fix. Nonetheless, the scheme works like this: pay $99 for a diagnostic (despite them knowing the issue), $99 for software work, and an additional $49 repair fee. Or instead you can get a great deal by paying $199 for an annual membership! So, you're presented with an overpriced $247 option, with unnecessary fees, to fix a computer worth around the total cost of the fix, or a slightly cheaper alternative in the form of a membership. The plan may make sense if you have many devices likely needing attention throughout the year. Otherwise, it's like having a $15k car and paying $10k/year in insurance that won't fully cover it. Lastly, the guy this Sunday afternoon became belligerent, saying I was "aggressive" because I questioned the appropriateness of the plan. He claimed he was only a customer service person, not a salesman, all while he held a board of the various prices, attempting to convince me the annual membership was best. Only he was more laughable than the scheme that guarantees you won't pay less than $200, even for a driver update they admit will take them 5 minutes to perform."
