Best Buy

"I habe been a member of geek squad for years (over a decade) have purchased many computers and gaming systems. I went in to see why my 3 thousand dollar alien ware computer wasn't turning on and they couldn't find my account. I was on the phone with geek squad while standing at the counter physically present with geeksquad. No one knew what was up. No answers could be found. I can't waste my time like this with terrible customer support/service. I guess my business is going somewhere else."

"Customer service literally nonexistent. Went in looking to purchase approx $2,000 in products (Laundry, gaming, and electronics). After spending over 1/2 an hour in the store I walked out with nothing because not a single employee even acknowledged my presence."

"In and out in probably five minutes at the most. I placed an order online easily and effortlessly the day before. Doors opened five minutes before they were even supposed to open and they welcomed me right in and had me checked out right away. The employees are very nice and welcoming. Always a pleasure shopping at this location."

"This would have been a 1 star review if it wasn’t for Elijah at the register! I came in looking for a lav mic for my camera. The Best Buy employee who came over to help me assured me the mic I was buying would work with my camera’s mic port. After buying, I opened it and it was extremely obvious that it wouldn’t. I was really frustrated, because when I went back the only other option was $50 more. Elijah, however, came the rescue and helped me find a cord that would make the mic I already bought compatible with my camera. As a broke college student, he saved my grocery money for the week. His help turned my frustration into a highly positive experience!"

"I was hoping things had improved here since I last went in a year or two ago. But no. One employee started out being somewhat helpful, but he kept saying "Follow me over here" over and over. So you feel like a dog following the employee to save him steps while he talks to various people about various things. Some pertaining to your questions about buing products-- but mostly not. Then he got distracted and told me to wait while he helped other people. Even after I told him I was ready to check out, he left me standing at the central check out area for another 15 minutes where he had been checking folks out earlier. Then-- since he had walked to the other side of the store-- he literally YELLED for me from 50 meters away. Hollered out "DID YOU DECIDE ON THAT CAMERA blah blah". While waving his arm demanding that I traverse the store again to go to him. So I just left. Surely wish there were a local place to buy electronics with actual good service. Or even just barely acceptable service! Anyway have fun if you decide to try them out. There were more employees than consumers in there. But still most employees looked pretty grumpy and... too busy to make customers a priority. I was going to spend at least $1,000 on a camera and drone. But maybe that is not important to Best Buy. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because at least the guy tried to help at first. And I won't give his name to get him in trouble-- at least he wasn't one in the group chit-chatting, hidden behind boxes down an aisle. Come on America, we can do better."
