"No one picks up the phone or responds to emails. I’m not sure if their management is aware of the fact that they're not doing us any favors — people are paying for the services that they are supposed to be providing. It can’t be that difficult to have at least one person sit by a phone and answer questions. Or at the very LEAST respond to an email. Incredibly unprofessional, especially given the fact that there are numerous other apartment complexes/companies in the area that know how to handle communication."

"I have never written a negative review in my life but I am truly at my wits end. I spent the last year living in Trumbull House and my experience with Center City Properties has been nothing but frustrating. We continually struggled with contacting anyone at CCP after we moved in. They were extremely responsive when we were in the process of signing the lease, but after they got our money it was like they no longer cared. It took several emails and phone calls to get a single maintenance issue address. It took them over a month to address a leak that was coming from our ceiling and dripping dirty, brown water into our apartment every time it rained. We were told that the apartment had a Ring alarm system that we could use, it was billed as one of the amenities of the apartment. Despite our persistent asking we were never given the code to the alarm. We were never able to use it the entire year we were there. At one point the electronic lock on our door broke and we were unable to lock the door when we left the apartment. It took over a week for someone to come address this serious safety issue and I essentially had to beg someone to come out. Even then the lock broke multiple times after this. We moved out of this apartment over a month ago and had not received our security deposit back. After pestering CCP multiple times they finally sent a check in the mail. The check did not include the pet deposit portion of our security deposit. Then, just to top off the disappointment, the check bounced. We have since sent several emails and attempted to call the office multiple times trying to get our money back. No one has addressed our emails. At this point we are thinking of going to small claims court. This is by far the worst leasing company I have ever worked with. I would never recommend anyone live in any of their apartments."

"I've lived at The Auburn for several months now and have been very happy with both the apartment and Center City Properties. The whole experience of finding the place, moving in, even maintenance has been pretty painless. Working with Lamus to find a good apartment at one of their properties was great too--I was moving sort of last minute from a non-Center City apartment that wasn't working out, and Lamus was super helpful in finding a good fit. The Auburn itself is a really good community as well and the apartments are pretty good quality for the price. The building is always clean and there is a Center City presence regularly. The only reason it's not a full five stars is because some of the common areas are a little unkempt--I know it's from tenant use, but really some of the furniture has seen better days and the spaces are not as clean as they could be. Overall this is my favorite place I've lived though since moving to metro Detroit!"

"I have lived at The Plaza for the past year and a half and it was the best living experience I have had in Detroit. The property manager, Deidra, was always a joy to deal with and was always extremely helpful and available if we needed something. This is also one of the nicest apartments I have seen in all of Detroit and is a very affordable price. I would highly recommend The Plaza."

"Huh. I am surprised by the negative reviews because that has not been my experience at all. We are on our second property in four years and the managers The property managers have always been reasonable and responsive whenever there has been an issue. We have even needed to call them on The Weekends and have always received help in a timely manner. I can only speak for my own experience but have been very satisfied overall."
