Greenbriar Apartments

"Terrible management, but it tracks since Tricap is located in an entirely other state and is buying up all the apartments in kzoo and hiking up the rent. They treat every unit with the landlord special and raise the rent by a few hundred dollars. The only reason I chose to move to Greenbriar was because it was the cheapest unit available. 3/4 thru the lease we get an email saying that if we’re one of the first like 5 ppl that resign we can “lock in our monthly rate”. Disgusting how they want to make you race your neighbors to stay in dingy apartments. But at least they didn’t put a notice to vacate on our door so they could renovate and raise the rent, like they did to us the prior year at Element on Main!! Stay away from Greenbriar, Element on Main, Haven on Main, Wild Wood off Main, Kendall off Main!!! and so many more bc they keep buying properties! Management is super kind tho and and I love them! Thats the only good thing."

"Please please please find another place, we have been trying to contact management to let them know we are moving out and we keep getting sent to a 3rd party who say they will leave management a message. We have left over 20 messages and emails contacting all of the numbers available which is like five and have not received one response from Management for about a month now…Run!!! Then we had over a $3,000 charge on the account for no reason before the month was over. Something is going on with this apartment and you don’t want to get mixed up with it. We still haven’t received a second key we asked for, or the mold that was in the apartment has not been addressed."

"So I've been living here for about a month now and am having mixed experiences. The apartment itself is nice enough (though with with some minor issues) and the neighborhood seems nice and quiet so far. Also maintenance responded really quickly and did a good job fixing some minor problems. But the property managers have been completely unresponsive to questions and concerns I have. I've called 4 times since i moved in and only got a response the 4th time from a random call center person who said they'd send management my message. I've also send 3 messages through the resident portal app and 4 emails to Kiala, the property manager, over the month. No response to anything! They don't have anyone working on-site except maintenance, which is a problem. I thought it was really odd when I did a self-tour and had to jump through a bunch of hoops to get the keys, because an actual person wasn't there to give them to me. This experience has been ridiculous, Greenbriar/Tricap please have at least ONE person in the office for residents! Not everything can be done virtually, it's too inefficient and frustrating for something like managing an apartment building! Also the pandemic has calmed down since the spring and in-person things have been opened back up, so that can't be the excuse at this point."

"It is really close to campus, with about a 7 minute walk. I really like my unit with a good sized living room. bedrooms and kitchen. You can easily contact management and maintenance if there is a problem through the app with I think is nice."

"I don't necessarily live here but I got the same problem where I live now where packages are not so easily deliverable... so in other words places like this are not good automatically just not good. I won't be moving here then i guess. Apartments now days needs to have places to drop off packages for the tenants its a real pain not being able to receive my package. Get with the times people!!! :)"
