"READ BEFORE MOVING IN*** so i lived here from december 2022-december 2023. in that one year time frame i saw 4 SEPARATE leasing agents, each one just as unhelpful and rude as the last. big problems came after move out. my unit was left clean, empty, all gtg! i figured in two weeks time i would be getting $700 of my $800 deposit back, as per my lease $100 is to be kept as a cleaning fee. no biggie, all good, is all on my lease that i had signed so all good. unfortunately this is not what the most recent leasing agents have decided is the case. they sent me an invoice for $250 for a cleaning fee, which they stated was according to my lease agreement. i knew that this was wrong so i called and emailed them over my signed lease as well as requested an itemized receipt if they used any of my deposit outside of the cleaning fee. they disclosed that the deposit would not be used for anything else and started working on getting the charge removed from my account. all good right? wrong. it has been nearly a month since i moved out and i have yet to see my deposit come back. the leasing agents are extremely rude on the phone, not helpful at all, and have all together stopped answering any calls or messages from my number this entire week. i am getting ready to have legal help step in at this point, as it is theft to withhold one's deposit after move out. other issues i had while living here: - pest issue due to walls left poorly insulated and cabinets with huge holes in them. my attic was full of loose insulation which wouldn't have been a problem without the threat of pests. after calling numerous times about the mouse issue i was given absolutely no help or any answer at all from the leasing office. mind you my partner and i are EXTREMELY clean people, both type A personalities. - i had to install a security camera at one point at my own expense due to an attempted break in, but instead caught maintenance making unscheduled and unannounced visits to my apartment with no consent on my behalf. when i reached out to the leasing office she had nothing to say regarding the matter. - the water heater in the studio apartment was so small that if i did the dishes i would have to wait minimum sic hours to shower, and even then there is only 10 mins of warm not hot water available. - water was shut off with no notice as well as no apparent reason multiple times within my unit. direct violation of michigan law. - half of my outlets in the apartment had never worked. - they attempted to raise my rent for my studio apartment from $875 to $950 monthly, and now it is listed for even less than i originally leased it for. honestly a disgusting and scummy agency overall, i cannot emphasize enough to you how awful this place was and still us proving to be. watch out!"

"Actually there was no experience. I was informed almost 45 minutes before my appointment and was told that they were closed due MLK Day. I was already in route when I got the call. A little unprofessional. I was really looking forward to it. But, if this is how they manage, maybe it's a good thing I didn't make it."

"Maintenance requests get cancelled out without work being done. Snow is not removed from your walkway, so you have to do it yourself, even if you're disabled. Ice forms on my doorstep due to the apartment being so excessively drafty that I have to run my humidifier / de-humidifier more than any place else. All electric heating/cooling/cooking means your bill will be high all year. My electric is 1.5 of the highest months elsewhere."

"Been here 23 + years. Everytime I have had a request is it has been completed within 24 hours. I would also like to see the yard lights get repaired so it's not dark when residents come home after sunset."

"So if the owners knew what they were doing, they would let the girl at the front desk go I went in to have a tour. I was very interested in renting no one would rent from her. She was not even concerned with getting it rented and denied showing me a two bedroom I heard from other people a very nice maintenance man that it was available and I used to be in real estate shame on her if I was her boss I would fire her. Needless to say I went across the street one hour later and rented an apartment from the nicest property managerThanks for the warning! be more professional"
