Sears Appliance Repair

"Hudsonville, MI: We called Sears to repair our LG Washer. Paul our tech was a nice guy...but the issue was the part that needed to be replaced was $92.14 and the labor cost was $349. The tech was their less than hour. We are well inside there service zone so travel was not a factor. I understand companies need to make $$, but this "highway robbery". I would not recommend Sears Appliance Repair to anyone."

"I believe that Sears should offer a video upload option. All I did was show a video to the tech and he recognized the issue. He confirmed the issue in 30 seconds, looked up the solution, the solution was going to be $600, I declined the fix due to the high cost, paid $89 and he left in 10 min. This could have been solved with a video upload (make that $50) and saved a lot of trouble and I would have saved money and wouldn’t have had to take a day off of work. The tech was very nice though."

"The technician, Paul, did a great job again.....this is the second time he was here. He is very thorough, explained everything and took his time and did not rush. But worked in a timely fashion. He also double checked his work to make everything was done correctly."

"Every technician was great. Your customer service process is horrible. I received 5 automated calls on Christmas Day asking me to call you to reschedule my appointment when I had an appointment already scheduled. Then when you call, the entire automated system to get to a person is frustrating, and they’re clueless. Just reading from their script and they’re hard to understand. Techs great! Rest of your service and process horrible!!"

"Beware - they will not give you a refund if you cancel an order before it has been fulfilled First I want to say that I have used Sears Home Services for several appliance repairs over the years and I have been very happy with their service. The technicians were knowledgeable, and professional, and quickly repaired my appliances for a reasonable price. But a few months ago my dryer needed to be repaired and it required parts to be ordered. I had to prepay for the parts and the installation service, which I was fine with. But a few days after I placed the order and prepaid, I received a notice that the parts were on backorder and there was no estimated delivery date. So I decided to buy a new dryer, because the one I had was fairly old, and I canceled my parts and service order. I have been trying for the past three months to get a refund on the $400 I prepaid for the parts and installation service. They will not give me a refund even though I do not have the parts and did not receive any service. Because of this, I will never use them again. If they can fix your appliance on the first visit I think they are great to use but do not prepay if they need to order parts and return to install them."
