The Reserve Steakhouse

"We gave the Reserve a chance less then 2 months ago after they were open for a bit giving them time to get the kinks worked out. Right off the bat I will say if you are looking for a good experience with quality food, go else where. My wife and I tried a variety of options to get a feel for what this place had to offer. The steak was cooked well and offered good flavor. The truffle Mac and cheese was arguably the worst pasta dish I have ever had, zero flavor we threw most of the dish out. Brussels Sprouts were not seasoned or cooked properly. The scallops were cooked well and had good taste but the overall size of the meal was beyond disappointing especially for the price. Salad was a basic salad, nothing to brag about with mediocre dressing. The drinks were ok, but nothing spectacular. We were in on a Saturday which surprising was not busy ( maybe a quarter full) it took 45 minutes to receive our drinks, and one hour and 35 minutes to receive our food. After being there for over 2 hours and spending north of $200 I can’t remember a time I’ve had a more disappointing dining experience. We both left hungry and had to eat something else once we got home and we are not huge eaters might I add. Overall I do not recommend the Reserve. If you want a great dining experience with fantastic food and quality service in Brighton I would stick with Single Barrel."

"The Reserve is a premium steakhouse new in town. We visited them for both lunch and dinner. Service is fantastic and foods are superb! Host is extremely accommodating and thoughtful when we took our newborn with us last time. She sat us in a corner booth in the back to allow privacy, less stimulation for baby yet enjoying our dinning experience. Loved the atmosphere, foods and people there! Highly recommend!!"

"As someone who lives in NYC, I was super impressed with the quality of food! I would put The Reserve up against some of the well known steakhouses in NYC. The châteaubriand was tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked. Although the steak did not need the zip sauce or cognac sauce that it came with, they too were an added bonus of great flavor. The wine selection is impressive, including the Cabernet from Napa Quilt that paired well with the meal. Service was attentive and overall atmosphere was upscale but comfortable. We sat at the high top tables in the bar area, which has a more relaxed vibe than the main dining area, but with access to the full menu. I personally could do without TVs playing sports at a restaurant of this caliber, but not a deal breaker as the food was phenomenal! When I visit Michigan, this will be a place I will come again."

"One of the best dinners tonight thanks to the The Reserve Steakhouse! Everyone enjoyed this place! ALL the FOOD we had was AMAZING!!. The restaurant was beautiful inside and outside fire drinking area was very pleasant. The service was top-notch. Staff was attentive and was very knowledgeable about the cuts of meats as well as the restaurants side choices. Had the Chateaubriand for two and it was fantastic, the aroma when being cut and served table side was Everything. Best place to eat downdown Brighton!"
