"We recently returned to Goshen after spending a year at The University of Miami where my husband was treated for pancreatic cancer. After chemo and radiation they performed the appleby surgery. Which was very successful. He was pronounced cancer free. After staying in the area for 3 months and following up with ct scans and blood work he was released to come home. We contacted Goshen Cancer Center for follow-up scans, blood work etc. His first appointment was this week. While meeting with the dr. he was told at the onset of the meeting he could still have cancer other places and it could pop up anytime. At the University we were never told anything negative. And WHY would anyone talk that way to a cancer patient! We had all of his records transferred there a month ahead of time. He tells my husband that he had read them as he goes on to say he knows he had the Whipple surgery and why didn't he stay in Goshen and have it done. If he would have read the records he would have known that he had the Appleby surgery. And that among many other reasons is why we didn't stay here. I have noticed my husband was acting different today. After asking him what was bothering him he let me listen to their recorded conversation. Unbelievable! He almost sounded like he had an attitude that we went elsewhere for treatment. Enough said!"
