"I think our experience at this hotel demonstrates a little shortcoming in the rating system we have on maps. For a hotel that cost just over hundred dollars a night it is very good, but there were a few issues that sometimes come with an older building, especially in an area as humid as MI. There was an odor that we couldn't really do much about. It actually came through the air conditioner as well as generally being in the room. I think it must be partly from some kind of dampness and odor from a carpet cleaner. The best thing we tried was opening the window. Also, there was no conditioner for one's hair. I find that really helpful when a hotel has fairly hard water. It's clear that these folks are pretty serious about the rooms being clean and we appreciate that, as well as the good lighting in the bathroom sink area. That's getting harder to come by. In short, a few detractions aside, this is a solid choice for a traveling family and a very good value."

Been staying there over 10 years and things have been changing and you think after being loyal customers for that long you would be treated a little better. Seriously thinking of going elsewhere hate to as there are 2 people that keep me coming cuz they are loyal employees."
"Nice, little, slightly outdated hotel in a great location in the city. A little noisy at night(not from other guests but instead traffic outside), may want to request a room in the back. More firm of a bed than I am used to. If these are the biggest complaints someone can give, they are doing great, room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend travelers to use this hotel, especially for business and solo travelers."
