"Cashier was RUDE. No manners when I called back the manager says well she's only 15. NO EXCUSE for BAD MANNERS. When I got home my coneys were in the bag upside down. HORRIBLE service. I wish I could give less than one star."

"Really great spot for conversation and amazing food. Their breakfast is phenomenal here and for us being out of towners we always stop here when we are in Michigan. The servers are always nice attentive and fun to talk to."

"National is definitely our go to! I’m laid off and wanted some affordable, yummy breakfast to warm my soul. Today the sausage links were just spot on! I do wish they still had a small Hani and I REALLY wish they could bring back the Hawaiian Chicken Salad (or can you please, please tell me how to get the dressing or make it!?!). Pretty please!? I’d go multiple times a week if you had this again!! Anyways - love the staff. They know me, my kids, and my Jeep - I feel like I’m with friends there. Thanks, team!! PS - loooove that my daughter can get her fave - chicken tenders - at breakfast time!!"

"I have been coming here for over 2 years and had wonderful service every time from the ladies here. Today was quite the exception. I was served by the guy (I think his name was Darrell) and I had a bad experience. He did immediately take our drink orders but we waited over 10 minutes for him to come by again. He tried to give us food that we hadn't ordered before we had even ordered our food as well. After he tried to give us the wrong food it took him over 5 minutes to come back again to finally take our orders. This would've been fine if they were busy but it was between church and lunch rush and there weren't many tables occupied. When our food finally came (another 15+ minutes) it was cold? I have never has this happen when I have been served by any of the ladies there. The real kicker was when I was brought my receipt to add the tip and everything he stood right next to me and was staring at me while I was writing my tip! So weird! I always tip at least 40% here because of the cheap food but it felt really insulting that he did that (trying to imply that i don't tip well?). I'm giving 5 stars for the service I've had every other time I've been in here BUT I'm going to be sure to request a different server if I get him next time."

"I like National Coney Island. I have been going to the location in Royal oak since the mid-’90s. I have only been to this location a couple of times. Excellent quality food. I forgot the waitress's name who took care of me. Very upbeat attitude she was awesome."
