"I love J Alexander’s because every time I come here I know for a fact I will receive a delicious meal. I came here for date night and they once again did not disappoint! I didn’t care for the host who was a little rude and nonchalant about the fact we were told it would be a 35 minute wait so we waited almost an hour and she didn’t seem to care it was over the original wait time promised. I knew the food would be good and worth the wait so we did. The restaurant is always dimly lit and has a real candle burning at your table and not overly loud which I love. Jason our server for the evening was very knowledgeable about the entire menu which made it easier for us to decide what we would enjoy eating. He did not forget anything we asked for and was extremely prompt and kind throughout the duration of our meal. I would come back here just for our great of a server he was! I ordered the New York strip steak and Mac and cheese for my entree. The steak was buttery and cooked to perfection. My boyfriend ordered the prime rib and mashed potatoes and asked for them to cook his prime rib a little longer which they did with no issues. The highlights of this meal also include the spinach dip. It’s an absolutely delicious! They serve it with a huge plate of tortilla chips and fresh homemade salsa. The calamari was also very good too. We had lemon drop martinis as our drinks for the evening and all I can say is the bartender needs a RAISE!!!!! Whoever made those drinks is an expert mixologist!! They were delicious and tasted so well. We paid $197 for 4 lemon drops, 2 appetizers and our entrees. We will definitely return for the delicious food."

"First time here and won't be the last! Great food and service. Nice place for lunch or dinner and business meetings. Ordered the steak burger today, which was delicious, and it came with shoe string fries. My friend ordered the Alex Salad, which was good, but definitely a small portion, especially for a guy."

"As always the service was excellent and atmosphere was comfortable. As a spur of the moment lunch I dropped in and I ordered a filet medium well which I stressed some pink inside which my server said yes. The steak came was not only NOT medium well… it was well done. I told the server and she said apologized and said she would be able to have another one cooked properly quickly. I told her no since I did not have the time to wait for more. It was flavorful but very disappointing to have a $50.00 piece of meat not prepared as I requested. This happened the last time I was there and it was over a year ago so I thought it was a fluke. Apparently not. Their cooks need to check before they send the plates out."

"First time coming here. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The atmosphere is very nice. We ordered the Hong Kong shrimp for an appetizer, and it's so flavorable!! Little spicy and creamy! Also, I ordered Mr. Jacks chicken platter (Southern Style), and it was absolutely delicious! And for dessert chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream! Everything tasted great! Will definitely be coming here again. Highly recommended."
