Sheesh

"I want to preface this review with saying that I absolutely LOVED this place. I have always loved the food here and have recommended it a million times. Whenever my husband and I are in the area we get Sheesh. I always order the mujadra for my 20 month old daughter and I to split because it’s a large portion and we both love it. However, the last 2 times I’ve eaten here I have bitten into something extremely hard. To the point where I thought it had cracked my tooth. I spit it out the first time and just thought it was some sort of fluke. This second time I actually found what I had bitten into (pictured). At the time I had taken a bite out of the portion I was sharing with my 20 month old. It was either a rock or a piece of bone. I called to make the restaurant aware of the situation. I explained that I wasn’t looking for free food or a refund, but just wanted them to be aware. Instead of any sort of apology or confirmation of their error I was told “I don’t know where that came from. If you want to speak to my manager call back in twenty minutes” I again said I wasn’t looking for a refund or free food, I just wanted them to be aware. The gentleman I was speaking with said “okay, great, have a good day” in a snippy tone. Not only will I not be eating there again because of the food quality, but because when I brought a safety concern to them I was greeted with an attitude and poor customer service from the very start of the conversation. What if my small daughter would have eaten this? I’m disappointed and discouraged because this used to be one of our favorite restaurants, now we won’t be returning."

"Some of the best lentil soup in the area! Get the hot bread - every time. I absolutely love their food. It's always great. High quality meat. Excellent baked goods. Delicious seasoning. I'd highly-recommend."

"Hello Michiganders!! I am a mexican american living in california and my first time trying authentic arab food. I was told this Restaurant had many chains at some point but this one on 5 mile was the best one! It did not dissapoint i had the raw kibbeh with some salad. They serve you LOTS! of salad. The Location is old school and small. Our server was awesome she kept joking around with me i think she liked me :p 8/10 for Food 9/10 for presentation and hospitality"

"Food was fresh and flavorful. Warm fresh naan and (romesco?) dip appetizer was really nice! Beef kabobs were very tender and not over done -perfect medium. We also tried Chicken Shwarma. Large portions -come hungry! Service was good on a Friday evening. Will return!"
