"Horrible. First time we've been in over a year. We walked in and there was 2 parties in the restaurant. One server. She stares at us. She asks if we can wait 5 minutes to be seated. Odd, but we have two little kids who want to eat here so we say sure. When we are finally seated we have a different waitress that had just rushed in for her shift. She is fumbling a bit and told us a couple times she hasn't been here in forever. Nice enough. We order our food. She can't find chicken tenders on the menu for the kids but my husband can order a chicken tender sandwich... She comes back and says they just got them in, no problem. At this point we are the 3rd table in the entire restaurant. The music from the kitchen is so loud that we can hear everything. All cuss words. They're really rocking out back there. Which, whatever but it's kinda ridiculous when you have little children and it's the only thing you can here. It's been over a half hour and no food. For an empty restaurant, this is ridiculous. She assured us that she was "really on them" to get our food. At the 45 minute mark I ask again where our food is..again, empty restaurant, how does it take 45 minutes for some kids pancakes, simple breakfast foods and chicken tenders? Finally it starts coming out, but not all together. Pancakes have obviously been sitting for over 25 minutes. One side is literally rock hard and the other is completely mush from steam. Eggs are colder than room temp. Chicken tenders come out, no fries, yet the sandwich has fries. She assured us the fries are coming in 90 more seconds. They finally came... definitely more than 90 seconds. Food was subpar at best. We didn't complain because our waitress was friendly enough and a complaint would be another 40 minutes. It's IHOP.... I was expecting IHOP, not a 5 star restaurant, but you would at least think pancakes could be done right. Overall, 50+ minutes for 4 simple meals in an EMPTY restaurant and $46 later we are beyond disappointed. I will NEVER return."

"If your looking for a nice and clean envirt with g, I wishreat service, DO NOT GO TO iHOP in Muskegon, on Harvey St.!!!!!! You can look at my other reviews and see that I usually NEVER take the time to write a bad review BUT people need to know what to expect BEFORE making the trip. From the momemt you walk in you'll see majority of the empty tables havent been wiped down yet (I thought nothing of, and toltook thend myself that perhaps they got a rush and are understaffed today, but NOPE, they had enough staff to run 2 restaurants out on the floor...), then the host felt the need to finish talking to a waitress even after making eye contact w me, showing their work buddy something on their phjone was clearly more important than us being seated, only to be greeted by a waitress who had zero experience and had 3 too many tables in her section because she didnt offer us not even 1 refill, brought my sons food without his toast and by time the htoast came out his food wad completely cold *literally*, only to be treated like an inconvenience when I asked for a to go box. I will NEVER waste my time or my money on going there again. I get that most of tha staff there are 16-20 years of age BUT its not the customers fault that management chooses to slack on training there employee's. Id just throw away the whole staff and start over if I were in charge of that location, but im not, so I cant. All I can do is never go back and spread the word, But the food eas actually excellent, so keep the kitchen staff, lol, just get rid of the front of the house, lbvvs. Hope this helps!"
