The Alley

"No host at station, when we walked in or sign saying wait to be seated. So we sat ourselves. Took 5 mins to get a water an another 10 mins. for waitress to come to table. Not busy, several tables open. We were getting ready to leave when waitress decided to come over and take order, after a noticeably long conversation with friend. First bad experience. Might give them another chance. We have returned, and did have a good experience, good food awesome service, waiter Chris is the best. Highly recomend with the right server."

"We waited at the bar for a table. The first table was given to someone else so we continued to wait at the bar. The bartender said to the manager that we were already waiting for a table as one cleared.Instead of seating us, she seated the group that literally just walked in the door long after we came in. Then the next group that came in after them. Are we supposed to sit at the bar all night when we clearly requested a table? I’m not knocking their food because it is one of the better places to eat at in Ashland. But considering we were already waiting for a table, we were really let down when this happened not once, but a couple of times. The bartender was helpful and took good care of us and at least tried to get us a table. I’m not in the habit of posting bad reviews. But this wasn’t right."

"Actually sat in the “Between Bar” where you can eat from either the Alley or the Deep Water Grill. I ended up ordering off the Deep Water menu. It was delicious. Sat at the bar and found the bartenders very personal and helpful with beer and food choices."

"Really cool place. Like 3 bars 2 restaurants 1 owner. Different menus. Was told by a local store owner to order the Fish Tacos. Very delicious. White fish was not at all fishy tasting was lightly breaded and deep fried with a tasty cold slaw and a fresh sauce. Only thing would have like a few reg sized pieces of lime, I had a bunch of bar cut limes worked out though just messier. But for sure needed the lime, I would reorder. You got 3 for $14. The bar tender was super efficient, kind with all of her guests. It was a busy Friday mid afternoon."

"This place used to be good but it’s really changed. It’s sad. Everytime I give The Alley another chance I always get let down, hard. Ordered the salmon salad and it wasn’t even close to cooked. Straight raw. Cheese curds were so burnt there was barley any cheese left :( I’m always finding hair in my food, again today in my pulled pork sandwich. That’s not my color or length. Everything’s always really burnt or raw."
