"This company is absolute garbage toward their employees and nobody should give them business. They refused to pay my fiance for her maternity leave because of the timing on the insurance's open enrollment, which was only off by a couple days, and then proceeded to CHARGE HER out of her paychecks because she had health insurance still while she was absent from work. I have only bad things to say about this company, and am writing this review in the most polite way I possibly can. I WANT to write much, much worse things about them, but I'm trying to remain dignified and somewhat professional about this review. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! One of the companies owned by them, Checksmart, is the main focus of this review. I, myself worked for Checksmart, and was actually fired FOR DOING MY JOB PROPERLY, which a high paying customer didn't like. It cost me my job. Community Choice Financial is SOLELY out to make profit and will harm anybody in their way, they do NOT deserve anybody's business. I'd like to leave NO stars, but this review process won't allow me to, thus I'm leaving a single star."

I called to ensure no credit was being taken out in my name but they refused any knowledge of the inquiry. Never interacted with the company other than this. A lot of scam warnings here. Stay far away."

"This place called me about a loan and told me I need to buy gift cards at Walmart $155 or Walgreens. James White if that’s his name told me they work directly with the retailer stores. Game recognize game there is no loan place that requires you to purchase gift cards upfront. I told him James gift card can’t be tracked he tells me yes. This is definitely a scam don’t waste your time on this place."

"They are scammers themselves or if this actually is a bank they allow if not encourage fraudulent loans to be taken out here. Now I am dealing with them requesting all kinds of info and for me to jump through hoops or be liable for the fraudulent loan they emailed me to say was approved and payment was due. I'm still receiving calls from this bank and others telling me I'm liable for supposed loans yet when I check my credit report they are not showing up, only the credit checks they did weeks ago. My credit has a fraud alert and lock on the account for almost a month now. Pretty shady practices in my opinion."
