"We received a tour today from Malcolm. He was very professional and informative about everything we needed to know with the apartment. He was upfront and honest about information which we appreciated."

"A lot of recent reviews are only about tours for the property, which makes me think management is trying to increase their average rating, so I'll give a review of actually living here. Things may or may not have shaped up after we left about a year ago, but our experience under Sandalwood Management was terrible. We had a neighbor pound, scream, and cuss at us through our door in the middle of the night for unknown reasons. The neighbor then paced back and forth, ran around, and jumped up and down outside while staring at our windows the entire time. Police were called but couldn't do much. We informed management and said we didn't feel entirely safe living by someone who acts like that, and we provided the police report at their request. Management told us that they would tell the neighbor that they should not interact with us at all again, and they should either contact management or the police if there is something wrong. I asked management a week or two later what came of the conversation, and I was told management had chosen not to talk with the neighbor. Without communicating with us, they decided on their own that they "didn't want to upset the neighbor further." I asked if we were supposed to just hope the neighbor didn't repeat the behavior or even escalate it. In short, management said, "Yes." We used automatic online payments for our rent. The last month we were living at Copper Creek, their auto-bill website did not charge us, and it never gave us a notification that we had missed our payment. Instead, we got a voicemail around 5pm telling us we needed to pay our rent immediately, and we got a letter on our door the following day saying that they were starting the eviction process. Apparently Sandalwood will try to evict you less than 24 hours after informing you that you missed your rent payment, even if it is their fault. I called and sorted everything out luckily, but I was told their payment website just doesn't charge some people for their final month, so apparently it is a known issue that had not been fixed. Also worth noting that when Sandalwood bought the apartments, they never sent us a link to their payment portal. We had to request it from them as the next rent payment drew nearer. A neighbor of ours had water start pouring out a light fixture in their kitchen ceiling. They called the emergency maintenance number and were told that maintenance couldn't come fix it. Mind you, they didn't say they couldn't fix it now, they said they just couldn't fix it. The neighbor was told to tell their upstairs neighbor that they shouldn't use their dishwasher anymore. As far as our neighbor was aware, it was never actually fixed by maintenance, and they still had a water stain on the ceiling when they moved out. Sandalwood stopped caring for the property when they purchased it. This wasn't a short period of time where they were looking for maintenance workers; it was 7+ months of little to no work being done. There were hundreds of weeds growing alongside the buildings that were taller than my waist, and they started to fall across the sidewalk since they couldn't support their own weight. Weeds somehow managed to take over the turf in the dog park. Siding and railings came off the buildings and weren't repaired for months. The pool was a lime green color. Although this is more the fault of dog owners, management stopped putting poop bags in the dispensers around the property, which resulted in dog poop everywhere. The grass was often much higher than my ankles. Much of this is about management, which could have possibly improved in the past year, so I'll add one extra bit of information about the apartments themselves. They are fairly nice on the inside, but the floors are extremely thin. We could often pinpoint exactly where our upstairs neighbor was based on their footsteps, and they weren't stomping. If they were wearing shoes in the apartment, it almost sounded like someone knocking on our door. We could often hear conversations clearly if they were talking with even a slightly raised voice."

"Well I have a friend that lives at Copper Creek and I visit often. The community has completely turned around the past few months and is absolutely beautiful. I've had the pleasure of interacting with the new maintenance team in passing and they are extremely professional! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place!!"

"My rating for Copper Creek (managed by Sandalwood) is from the summer of 2023 to now. Over this period a new team of people have taken over the management and maintenance of the property and have made quite a positive difference. I really appreciate the professionalism and expertise of the new team at Copper Creek. Paige and Malcolm in the front office are friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful. They have responded quickly to any issues or questions that I’ve had. I just transferred to a more appropriate sized apartment at Copper Creek and the process went very smooth thanks to the help from Paige and Malcolm. The new maintenance team (Ryan and Jack) are exactly what the property desperately needs from a maintenance team: property maintenance skills, good work ethic, proactive maintenance, and task follow-through. These guys are friendly and care about the property. They did a terrific job preparing my new apartment. I’m a long time resident and I really like what the new Sandalwood team is doing to improve Copper Creek. I love the wonderful and friendly neighbors and the neighborhood is a great location to take walks, run, or bike. When the weather is not so good you can utilize the fitness room whenever you want as the clubhouse is open daily 24/7 to residents. I love all the dogs I meet on walks. Last summer was great as the pool and grilling areas were always open and well maintained. Copper Creek is definitely on a positive trend and is a very nice place to live!"

"I want to start off by saying how poorly Copper Creek apartments have been ever since Sandalwood has taken over. It took me over 3 months to get in contact with their management, they have neglected everything, and do not care about the tenants. If you want to live at a place that does not contact you, raises rent, and charges you for unknown fees this is the place. Also, they have let the entire facility go to the wayside. All the amenities that have been promised in the lease have not been up to standard and the management just doesn’t care. The walls are thin, the apartment appearance is cobbled up, and hearing from my neighbors, the maintenance workers do not know what they are doing. We will be moving out in one month and cannot wait!"
