"This is a GOOD starter apartment or retiree apartment. Each year the rent will go up, and the quality of life around you will slowly go down. The first few red flags to take note of, the buzzer system in front is non existent other than a metal plate in the wall that says “DOES NOT WORK” The main floor hallway, a couple of floorboards were broken/missing and it was just carpet, and still is partially like that. The parking lot is really awful, uneven, and cramped. If you like to scratch your fenders/bumpers this is the ideal place for you. Some of the craters around here have earned the nickname “Little Iraq” by apartment dwellers. The last annoying thing is the vehicles that sit here idle and take up parking spots year in and year out with flat tires and junk in them. The parking lot is an issue when you want to have friends/family over (they must park in the street or will get towed) or during the winter time and you can’t find a spot. The laundry system is pretty good, other than the tenants who have really furry dogs that shed, leaving bushels of fur in the washer and dryer. There is one chick who lives here, and every other Monday she will use all of the laundry equipment to herself for 6 hours and remove yours from the equipment so she can use it. The last issue, you will share your hot water with everyone else. If you like to have cold water showers, this is the perfect place for you. If you are on bad terms with a neighbor, and you hear them start a shower, you can turn on your sink at the lowest pressure and ruin their day. Living here is not the worst thing you can choose, you are in close proximity to the best bar end in Lakewood. 5-10 minutes away from anything you need, and the Metroparks just before the bridge. Maintenance is iffy, you can either get your problem resolved immediately, or it takes 6-8 months of being rescheduled for something you could shell the money out for yourself but should not have to (replacement MAJOR appliances) You will enjoy the warmth and homieness of these apartments. The heaters are really great at heating your unit up. You will have kind neighbors, who mostly keep to themselves. The internet speeds are pretty okay for this City in general (Cox) and internet is one of the only 2 utilities you will pay for. Probably my favorite amenities of this place is the spacious kitchen countertop, and closet spaces. In conclusion, this is truly a starter or retirement place. It is not much to write home about, and certainly not worth a 4-5 star review. Those other 5 star reviews either have the wrong building, or were paid to write them, in my opinion of course. Please take all of the above into consideration before living here."
