"It’s not terrible, terrible. Location is nice. Rent is going way higher than it should be at. Don’t expect a full refund on your deposit or prompt responses from property management. A BUNCH of tenets complained of bugs."

"Well maintained apartment. I moved in during summer, yet to experience winter here, but so far everything looks good. The apartment is very close to lots of restaurants and is walking distance from several gyms."

"**Edit April 2023** Contrary to what others have posted, I still have yet to see one bug other than an occasional Asian Lady Beetle (not an actual ladybug,) or a stinkbug. The building smells much better overall, doesn't smell like cigarettes (the entire building never did,) and even my hallway area stopped smelling like weed and/or cigarettes for the most part. The building isn't 100% smoke-free yet, probably because people are still able to smoke in their own apartment until they sign a new lease. The elevators are still breaking, but the leasing agent said they're thinking about replacing the elevators since they're so old and parts keep wearing out. They're still repairing them quickly, though. Even though I can afford better, why would I pay hundreds of dollars a month more just to have a pool or exercise room, and lose the quiet street and awesome view I have now? ****************************************************************** I've lived here since June 2021 and have had a mixed experience thus far. The previous leasing agent, Jeanie, was one of the most dreadful people I've ever met. Thankfully, she is no longer involved with the building and the new leasing agent is much more responsive and nice. She seems to really be trying to improve the physical building and the experience for tenants. My biggest complaint, and why I give the place a 3 star instead of 4 star rating, is how my apartment smells of cigarettes and weed on a daily basis. I don't smoke anything, but both of the neighbors across from me do, so putting up with it is pretty frustrating. In general the building smells fine, or like weed, or like people's supper (which are some fine smelling meals, for the most part,) and seems to vary by the hour, and the floor. I've never had bed bugs, or any other insect issue, but I do know other tenants who have. They recently (within the last couple of weeks) performed an inspection of the entire building specifically to check for bed bugs, and have hired a new company to treat apartments that have them. The elevators used to never be broken, but over the last 6 months or so at least one seems to be broken weekly. They are repaired quickly, for the most part. Since the new leasing agent took over I haven't had a problem with maintenance requests. Prior to that it was hit or miss. They're renovating apartments as people move out and the new units are much more modern and aesthetically pleasing. The laundry room is the typical older building type, with all of the machines mostly working all of the time. It's $4/load to wash/dry which I guess is average. There's a mix of everyone in the building and most people are pleasant. There are some who are jerks but you'll have that in any large building, and the nice people seem to be in the majority. Overall, for what I pay, with the location and view, I'm generally happy living here. It'll be even better when the building goes fully smoke-free!"

"Update: 3 months after they treated the nearly the whole building for bed bugs, they are back. My ceiling is coming down from my upstairs neighbors *ahem* activities and even after they made it a non-smoking building the whole thing reeks of cigarettes. The new management is nicer and is actually available mostly, but if you can afford elsewhere, don't live here. Do you like bed bugs? If you do, live here. Even when they spray, relief is only temporary. I've been trying to get things fixed since October and they still haven't even attempted any repair. Broke federal law with Title X (lead disclosure) paperwork. I still haven't gotten it. Jeanie is so unkind I don't know how she's even employed here. She will try to blame all the problems on you."

"Do you like bed bugs? Do you like rude condescending landlords? Do you like scam artist? If so commodore club will be a dream for you, if not run far far away. I moved to Chicago, broke my lease (paid the rest of the term out) they did not refund all of my deposit claiming my apartment needed cleaned (IE carpets and general cleaning) they said this fee is standard and taken from everyone’s deposit. They also took more than 30 days to get my deposit on top of not refunding it all, I drafted a court complaint and a gentleman called me claiming they did nothing wrong, and saying I wouldn’t win the case blah blah, but as pity he offered to give me the remainder of my deposit back. To add to the cake the WHOLE BUILDING is infested with bed bugs. BUYER BEWARE. Attached is a photo of how I left the unit."
