"Josh was excellent about being patient with me and my partner. The place we moved into is really nice and such a great deal"

"Look, when I review places that I’ve spent a lot of time at, I try to be fair and balanced. However, I find that when writing this review, I just cannot be. Let me just get it out there, if you are thinking of renting at this location or from this landlord, I urge you to strongly reconsider. I would rather swim through a mile of broken glass than put up with the run-down building, non-functioning washer/dryer, constantly leaking water utilities, or depressing atmosphere ever again. Within the first week of moving in to a new apartment I’ve had more responsiveness out of my landlord than I had in the entire two years I stayed with AIY. They ignore queries about leases, and have not cut renters any slack during the COVID-19 crisis. My recommendation is to spend the extra $50 a month to live somewhere much nicer."

"Lived here for a year. Apartment is clean but you can hear every sound. I lived on the second floor and heard my neighbors from above, below, and across from me. It wasn’t like they were partying or anything just living there normal lives so no fault to them. Walls are just super thin. I only had one maintenance issue with the water pressure. Not sure if anybody ever came out, it just went back to normal. Tenants are pretty respectful of the 10p quite hour rule."

"Terrible management. On move in day, they called me 15 mins before I was scheduled to move in and told me my apartment wasn’t ready after I had already made arrangements for a uhaul and took the day off work. I was supposed to move in at 9am and they told me it wouldn’t be ready until 4pm. I had already scheduled the internet guy to come at 1pm, so they promised me that their maintenance man, who was in my apartment fixing whatever was preventing me from moving in on time, would let the internet guy in. Well, of course the maintenance man left and didn’t let the internet guy inside. Luckily, another resident let the internet guy in and he set everything up. Then, a few weeks later they called to tell me they couldn’t find my prorated payment. I assured them I had paid online and told them the date. They said okay and said they would look into it. I never heard back, so I assumed it was good. Weeks later, they posted a note on my door saying I owed $160 and a past due amount. I called and after telling them the day I moved in (which they had incorrectly written down as a week earlier), they apologized and said it was human error and I didn’t owe anything. This place is very unprofessional and deserves less than one star. The walls are super thin and you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. Also, the hallways and apartments reek of cigarette smoke and weed because everyone here smokes in their rooms. To top it off, the apartments face the parking lot, so you get car lights shining into your bedroom at night and in the morning, so you can’t open your blinds even if you wanted to. My lease just started and I already wish I could move. Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else!"
