"I loved Dr. Murphy, but receptionist is horrible & hygienist I loved up until this incident. I’m not sure if Dr. Murphy is even aware of what happened. I would hope not because he’s always been kind and I trusted him. I had an appointment to have teeth cleaned last October 2022 and they told me I needed a full mouth debridement. The hygienist started on a couple teeth, but I was unable to tolerate. Dr. Murphy did come in to look at teeth and I was told I could come back and pay $45 for laughing gas, so I made an appointment for January 2023. Unfortunately, I had to cancel appointment due to surgeries the month prior that I was still recovering from. A couple months later I received a bill from office stating I had a full mouth debridement and was charged for laughing gas I never had done. I questioned receptionist, Keri and after explaining several times I did not, she said she would talk with hygienist. I then received a revised bill with the $45 taken off bill and received a post it note that if I returned I would need to pay the $45 in full. I had no problem with this other than I never received the full mouth debridement that they kept telling my insurance company I had done. I believe that’s insurance fraud, so I sent a letter explaining what was done along with a voicemail with my cancellation and post it note stating I would have to pay when I return to have full mouth debridement and with a text from office stating similar. I also would like to add I was hung up on by receptionist Keri several times when I was calling office to pay my bill prior. The customer service is horrible! Today I received a letter from insurance stating case was closed and documentation stated I had full mouth debridement because I was in the chair for an hour. I’m sorry, but I think I would know if I had this procedure because I can’t tolerate it. I’m not making any money off of this, the insurance is being billed for something I didn’t have done. I would not be getting money back, but I can only have one procedure like this in my lifetime with my insurance. This is very upsetting because I will never be able to get a full mouth debridement with any dentist unless I pay in full! I don’t understand why an office would do something like this. I will never recommend this office ever. I hope that this doesn’t happen to someone else."
