"The cleanliness of the waiting room is absolutely absurd. I have never seen a hospital area so dirty. Caked on dirt from DAYS, trash absolutely everywhere. Like I’m talking NASTY. So disgusting. You’d think a place for sick kids, would be, uh, cleaned sometimes? Guess not!!"

"Thank you to all the staff from our family! You guys were AMAZING! Our son Presten was very sick this morning. The amount of love and care that was shown to us made us feel like he was in good hands! You guys are the true heroes❤️ we were able to take him home with a little smile! It means the world! I ask whoever takes care of raises and bonuses or whatever they ALL deserve it! Merry Christmas to all!"

"I have been here many times with my daughter, which is obviously a problem for them. I am a first time mom and my daughter was born prematurely so when she's sick and I can't get her into the PCP I come here. My most recent visit was because my 7 month old had a 103.2 fever. Before she was even seen I was told I was being dramatic, and that taking her to the ER for non emergency issues is just going to make her sicker. I don't know about you but I expect compassion from a children's hospital. The provider was very good, turns out she had a UTI. Her PCP is wonderful but had no openings. The next day PCP called me very concerned about my daughters UTI. I was so upset with the way they blew me off. I know when my child is sick."

"Brought my son here for chest pains and I have sat in the waiting room now for 3 hours. The receptionist was really rude in correcting me when I mentioned how long I estimated I have been waiting. I may have to just leave and to elsewhere.... you'd think akron children's would be better than this. I get some things are prioritized but why isn't a kid having chest pain? I have watched at least 8 sets of people come and go in my time in this uncomfortable chair."

"When my oldest son was born in 2016, the emergency room WAS absolutely awesome. Now half the time we leave because we keep getting pushed back. I am all for other certain emergencies needing care first..HOWEVER, I went with my autistic 3 year old around 6:30 tonight and as I was checking him in, I was explaining the symptoms and the front desk girl rudely asked if he could just be constipated. I don't know. That's why I am at the ER. It is not my favorite past time to waste these people's "time" at a job they choose to work at. The women checking his temperature also asked if it was just an ear infection.. Again, I do not know. I'll have to go over my medical degree that I obviously must have if I'm being asked if that's what it could be. I did not come here for fun. After being told the wait would be longer and my son was screaming/crying we left. Other places of Akron children's has my respect but this ER does not . Also to the nurse who rudely said some poor guy can "figure out himself" ,a door he was struggling, I hope you have a better day and learn how to help parents."
