"This store looks cute, has many nice things. But every time I have walked in here I never get acknowledged at all. I have heard the sales ladies speak to others when they come in but never once have I gotten a hello! This has got to be the rudest store I have ever walked into!! And the other day I walked in at 4 minutes to closing, which I had no idea but would not of held them up, and instead of a hi how are you, it was you know we close in 5 minutes! I never say a word but this time I said to my friend , so ‘hi and how are you today and I have 4 minutes to look around’! I can’t imagine buying anything since the return policy is horrible and everyone of these ladies I have seen are rude. Retraining is in dire need here!!!"

"Be careful shopping here. My wife bought a coat yesterday. She wanted to return it today. The rude sales clerk with the red hair argued that they only offer store credit. In all fairness there is a small sign at the register stating store credit only. The policy is ridiculous as there are sooooo many places to spend money. Makes you wonder why no one is shopping at this store. We actually like Banyon Tree . We won't be back or go again to the Tremont Location."

"I live in Crocker Park. That being said, I don't feel the need to dress up in my finest clothes just to go downstairs and shop for a little while. I have been in this store 3 separate times and each time I have felt uncomfortable because I felt as though the staff took one look at me an determined I was not going to make any purchases. The first time I went in the store I was not acknowledged at all, but then a group women of a different race walked in after me and were immediately acknowledged and asked if they needed any assistance; I immediately left. The second time I went in I was also not acknowledged until I picked up a few items but I purchased anyway giving the store the benefit of the doubt. The 3rd and final time I will ever step foot in this store I was the only customer in the store with 2 employees standing at the front register. One looked at me and didn't say anything, and proceeded not to say anything until I walked all the way to the back of the store where the children's items are. Having worked in retail at numerous stores I know how much they drilled in our heads how important it is to greet the customer AS SOON as they walk in the door. I also know how my coworkers discriminated against people and didn't waste their time if they felt as though they didn't have any money and weren't going to buy anything. Being made to feel uncomfortable and as if I am unworthy of service is unacceptable and I will never shop here in the future. The staff definitely needs to be retrained in providing customer service regardless of the patron."

"I stopped into Banyan Tree for the first time on Saturday and I loved it! I've been looking for a local, socially responsible, environmentally friendly clothing store! I was somewhat expecting to have to compromise on style, but I loved everything! Prices are a little higher, but rightfully so considering their mission. I bought a very soft and stylish shawl. Fits wonderfully! Be sure to check out this gem in Crocker Park!"
