"My sister was forced to see Ray when she was a preteen/teenager. She had to dress and appear a certain way (jeans, shirt tucked in, hair pulled neatly back) before each session. Our adoptive mother was permitted to sit in on these sessions. My sister explained to me that was called fat, berated and forced to do push-ups in these therapy sessions. Not sure what kind of approach to therapy/healing/recoverg Ray is promoting or condoning but it is not suitable or appropriate for children. If you love your children do not take them here."

"I called this guy seeking counseling services and he was very rude on the phone. Not a welcoming personality at all. I would not suggest contacting him he may need some counseling himself on customer service."

"After what took forever to fill out my online profile, then have to wait a month to be seen, I had to cancel my appointment b/c the transmission in my car went out. Apparently, that is not a good excuse for canceling the same day. He said his time was valuable & would not reschedule, but give me the name of a friend of his."

"Ray Messer treated me 20 years ago when I was a teenager. I went there for years. He didn't help at all! But in fact he made me much worse! About 8 months ago, I figured out really by chance that I am seriously allergic to gluten. I suggest that if your "depressed, bi-polar, schizophrenic, etc." that you stop eating gluten for one week. If you don't feel better then you know that wasn't your problem. But also try the same with dairy then eggs. For 2 decades the mental health profession failed me. It started with Ray and the doctor he was working with. At that time they were in Bellbrook. He and his buddy diagnosed me as depressed and I was because I was eating poison (gluten) everyday. They prescribed me Zoloft. Zoloft made me very sick, after taking it I would have diarrhea and vomiting simultaneously. My parents told both of them that this was happening and Ray said they have make sure I keep taking my medicine. It is important to point out gluten shreds your intestinal walls if your sensitive to it. It's called celiac disease. So my parents would force feed me this new poison everyday and everyday I would have diarrhea and vomiting simultaneously at school. Over 20 years I saw a lot of different doctors and was diagnosed with depression then schizophrenia then bi-polar. No one in the mental health profession ever helped. But even so Ray Messer was the worst. I say that because if I had problems with a medication the other doctors would switch me to something else. As the years went by I never forgot Ray and what he did to me. Ray used to say that the mental health field believed that people could change but rarely do. -Basically blaming the patients for the industries incredibly high failure rate on them because they didn't comply. I think it's the other way around. Patients don't comply because what is being recommended doesn't work. I am writing this review because: I recently went to a doctor to get tested for allergies. I knew I was still having an allergic reaction to something after eliminating gluten. I thought it might be dairy or eggs or corn or rice. I didn't know, that's why I went. He said I'm allergic to everything and that my body isn't absorbing minerals. When I say allergic to everything that includes minerals and vitamins like b vitamins and calcium. I'm allergic to everything! He said this is very rare and has only come across it once or twice. It is a result of eating gluten for 35 years. Again I am writing this review because I don't want anyone to go through this. If Ray Messer were the expert on Depression and Suicidal Ideation. He would have tested for allergies instead of drugs. BTW he repeatedly tested me for drugs randomly. I always passed because the only drugs I took were the ones my parents would force feed me. The ones that made me very sick. The ones, that after taking, I would have diarrhea and vomiting simultaneously. He told me not to blame my parents for force feeding my those drugs or for the random drug tests, but blame him. And I do! My parents; who loved, and still love me today, were at their wits end and trying to help me. Ray Messer, like he does today, says he is an expert and knows what to do. They just followed, this frauds advice because they didn't know what else to do. BTW They tried the church and the church recommended the mental health profession. The mental health profession is a fraud that exists because they are paid by a third party. A third party meaning government and insurance pays them. Third party payer systems do not hold the suppliers accountable. I say they are a fraud because they tell the world they are experts and they say they can help. But they have no understanding and only pretend to help. It's not until you need help that you find out it's just a sick joke. This place is a waste of both time and money and needs to be closed And if you vote please don't vote to support mental health services. Thank you for your time. I hope this helps."

"Ray listens really listens before he gives an answer. He keeps the session on focus. I have found him to be a teacher as well as a therapist. He does have boundaries which make one feel safe to share openly and honestly."
