"I felt good about this clinic after my first appointment, but am working on getting a different referral now for two reasons. First, it's almost impossible to get ahold of the clinic by phone, and scheduling is a nightmare. Of the three scheduled visits I've had, two of them were cancelled on me with little to no warning. After trying to call in you may eventually get forwarded to an answering machine that tells you you will receive a call back. That return call is made by a machine with a recorded message to call the office, which sends you to a machine that will call you back with a machine, ad infinitum. When I did finally get rescheduled, THOSE appointments were then cancelled on me. By the time I made contact with a human again I ended up rescheduled in the same time slots I had initially before the first cancellation which makes you wonder what caused them to be cancelled in the first place! Second, the first medication I was put on worked wonders, but had side effects of suicidal ideation--not great! I mentioned this and the doctor asked if it wouldn't be worth putting up with the severe depression and suicidal tendencies, as the alternative medications had a side effect of weight gain. I'd rather be fat than dead, thanks!"

"I was a nervous wreck having researched and been told by neighbors how painful an EMG was for them. The day of my EMG I was greeted by the receptionist, who was so personal and related to my nervousness; sharing her own experience with me and reassuring me that I was in good hands and the procedure was uncomfortable at best. She was right! The first part of the process was the zappy part and the tech managing this portion of the process was such a sweet man. He calmed my nerves, talked through my concerns and even answered a question related to my current medical conditions that really wasn't part of the process. I appreciated his honesty and transparency because it allowed me to understand my diagnosis a bit more. The next part was performed by Dr. V and He was the kindest doctor I have ever met. Laughed and engaged with me to keep me calm while he did the pricky part of the process. I had read reviews that said it was a brutal procedure and to be honest it wasn't the worst. Mildly uncomfortable at best, but it happens so quickly that you can breathe through it. It is nothing compared to the spinal injections I have had to get or the S.I. injections. If you don't tolerate needles or pain very well, and need this EMG.. this is the doctor for you. Great team! Great engagement! You feel like family right away, they truly care about their patients comfort."

"The employees at the front desk are always friendly and helpful. I have gone to Dr. Vandersluis for several years and put my complete trust in his knowledge and care. He always addresses any questions and concerns I may have."

"The office staff are efficient and friendly. My experience with the doctor was not as good. Maybe if my condition were quicker or easier to diagnose I would have had a better experience. I'm glad to be getting a second opinion at this point."
